1955 Ford Thunderbird PROJECT NO RESERVE Mostly complete car, with many new and New Old Stock parts to complete the car. Including a full set of NOS rubbers.The frame and suspension was professionally restored in the 1980's and car has sat since then. All brakes, suspension and frame components look to have been rebuild with original (NOS?) parts.The body is rough, but comes with all of the repair panels required to complete. Including a NOS set of inner and outer rocker panels. Comes with a NOS trunk lid.Both bumpers with bumper guards are included. Many parts included in boxes, includes many NOS. Does come with a number matching air cooled automatic transmission, bellhousing and torque converter.Comes with a complete (with all latches) porthole hardtop. Missing the following parts: windshield, motor and convertible top.Do not have a numbers matching engine, but a rebuild 1957 Y-block 312ci engine with 4brl intake manifold is available for an additional $2,000 to the winning bidder. There is more than I expected and it's in better shape. I'm a long time car collector/restorer and bought this car as my own project, but after buying several more in the last year I have to agree that I have too many, so I've decided to sell this one. The car is currently stored at a car restoration business that is working on some of my other cars. The car is a project and will require a restoration, but as far as I can tell all the pieces (except the ones specifically mentioned in the original listing) as present to complete the car. A listing of some of the items with the car:- Doors, with new skins and new window channels. Complete to the last part. Including at least one complete and extra set of brightwork.- Hardtop with all latches in place, including a NOS set of headliner and piping materials- All (as far as I can tell) interior pieces, including NOS aluminum door inserts- Full set of NOS rubbers for the entire car- Perfect hood- Perfect NOS trunk- NOS set of windshield A pillar brightwork- New fuel tank, and the original already mounted (consider it an extra one)- Seat with all brackets and power cylinders in place- Box with what looks to be a complete and mostly NOS set of hardware for all interior and trim- Full set of air ducts (all 4 pieces)- Full exhaust system (could be NOS, not sure, some surface rust)- body in OK shape, damage to lower parts (rockers, quarters, floors) trunk floor in decent shape. Patch panels available for mostly all the pieces that need replaced. Driver floor and passenger fender were replaced and welded in with a booger machine, easy fix for a good welder.- Full dash (without damage) and set of gauges, even the original radio is there. This was a project that someone collected all the parts for, without sparing expense, to do a full restoration and the original owner passed away before he could complete the restoration.I picked up this car and an extensive collection of other T-Bird parts, I started selling my parts collection recently and have decided that I really have no need or time for the car either. The frame, suspension and brakes, the complete rolling chassis has already been restored and would likely only need a quick onceover to be very useable for your project. For any local buyer the car is available for inspection anytime with some notice.
