This is an orginal 1960 Rambler American 2 door wagon. It's always been a California car and comes complete with its 2 black plates. It is currently registered. I have owned it approx3 years and it has been a very reliable driver. To the best of my knowledge, it is all orginal except for an orginal color repaint and a non orginal interior . I have all major records as to its repairs since 1993.The engine and transmission(automatic) was rebuilt in 2003 as well as front suspension and brakes. It runs , steers, stops, and shifts fine. The tires are good. The previous owner gave me lots of extra parts includingthe side trim ( nice shape) and many NOS parts.All I have done to it is change the oil and filter and recently replaced the stock fuel pump.The drivers side window has cracks(see photo) . The worst issue with the car is rust in the right rear corner of the top just to the right of the tailgate. Before I purchased the car, I went over every inch of it with a magnet and found no bondo. There are two patch panels (done well) in the rear floor, otherwise the body is very solid !There are spots of minor surface rust here and there and a few minor dents. This is not a show car but it is a very solid rare body style . It's also quite economical with its stock flathead six and with the automatic,it's easy to drive. If my buy it now price is met, I will include a rare stock 1955 nash rambler hood. It is a bolt on for this car and features thevery cool front air scoop.I am advertising this car locally as well.
