Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I received this 635csi as a trade in January. I drove it 10 hours, only stopping for fuel, without any problems. I even brought my tools just in case, but didn't even touch them. 1979 BMW 635csi - German Spec (imported into the US in 1986) Silver on Black Leather 5-spd close ratio "dogleg" pattern manual transmission (1st gear is down) Original M90 Engine, 3.5l, 218HP 101k miles 16" Alpina Wheels A/C cluster, "test" cluster, fuse box, etc, written in German. This is a German Car... Zender side skirts Rare original rear spoiler The Bad: -Passenger side headlight doesn't work. May be the bulbs. Driver's side headlight with high beam has done the job during night driving for me. -Turn signals stopped working 2 months ago due to relay. $60 part. -Some rust underneath, but not that bad. If I were to keep this car, I would just drive it the way it is & then address the rust when I were to fully restore the car. -A/C works but needs a charge. -Although no smoke from exhaust, it can be a lil fumy sometimes. Still, I drive the car almost every day. The Good: -New front tires -All gauges work including tach, speedo, temp, fuel, etc. -Sunroof, front windows, radio, horn, windshield wipers, all work. -There are 2 sets of these Alpina wheels on ebay. One set for $2000. The other for $2250. -All glass/windows are crackfree. -Leather seats are in great shape! No rips or tears. They're pretty comfortable actually. -Rear seats have the desirable headrests with speakers too. -Door panels are in great condition too. Just some chrome thats peeling off the small trim. -Air filter, battery, alternator recently replaced. -Dash is in great shape with only a very small crack that is recent. Still fresh enough to be fixed. -Reliable. Its been like a tank. It hasn't left me stranded. Runs great! Starts every time!! -All gears shift great without grinding or any other problems. Clutch is strong too. -Obviously there is some intrinsic value for a real German spec 635csi over a regular 635csi. European bumpers, more powerful engine, instrumentation in German. -Some random parts included in sale. -German owner's manual, diagrams, & other BMW litterature written in Germani included. -Trunk tool kit is complete with the rare tools. -Clean Carfax This is an early 635csi. The 635csi wasn't actually introduced into the United States until 1985. This Euro 635csi is closely related to the E12, rather than the E24. It was never my intention to keep this 635csi. This is my family's 7th BMW. I am looking for an older Porsche 911 or 912.
