1998 Suzuki GSX-R

You are bidding on a 1998 Suzuki GSXR 600 SRAD. I purchased the bike a few years ago with the hopes of turning it into a daily rider, but just do not have the time or desire to finish it. The bike has a CLEAN TITLE, which I have in hand. The good: The bike has a fresh paint job done in House of Kolor Candy blue, metallic blue, and flourescent orange. The two side fairings are aftermarket fiberglass, not plastic. Tires are in good shape with approx. 80% tread. It has new brake pads and the clutch has been replaced. Windscreen is a smoked double bubble screen. The frame and outer rims have been polished. The bike has a K&N filter and is running a full Yoshimura Exhaust. Flush mounted blinkers in the front and carbon stalks in the back. Comes with both the solo race tail as well as stock plastic, both painted to match as well as a new battery. Motor and transmission are both strong. The bad: The bike has sat for several months, so the carbs could use a good cleaning. Currently the tank is off the bike because of a problem with the fuel pump or filter, not sure which. She will run for several minutes, then start to hesitate and stall. I don't know if the filter is clogged or if the vacuum diaphram in the bottom of the pump is not allow fuel to come thru. The bike runs just fine off a fuel bottle, so the problem is with the pump/filter. I could probably just replace the entire unit and be fine but don't wish to drop any more money in the project. Also, two of the mounting tabs on the back of the headlight are missing. The light works just fine, but you can see the pc missing if you look down behind it. Bike is sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied. Someone with a little more knowledge and patiance could have this bike up in a week. The motor is strong when it's up and running. I'll be happy to answer any questions if you have any. The bike is located just outside Memphis TN. Any and all shipping arrangements must be handled by the winning bidder. Local pickup with cash in hand is always welcome. If the bike needs to be shipped, there is a Forward Air Terminal here in Memphis. I will deliver the bike to the terminal after arrangements have been made and full payment has been received. A $100 deposit is due within 24 hours via paypal. The remaining payment must be made within 7 days of bidding close unless we have spoken directly and have made other arrangements. Payment must be in the form of Certified Check or Money Order.
