I HAVE CLEAR ARKANSAS TITLE IN MY NAME, IT IS NOT A SALVAGE TITLE. 1969 MUSTANG FASTBACK. THIS IS NOT A MACH ALTHOUGH IT HAS 'MACH 1' TRIMMINGS. THERE IS EXTENSIVE RUST IN THE CAR AND IT HAS COLLISION DAMAGE TO THE CORE SUPPORT. THIS IS A VERY RESTORABLE FASTBACK, BUT WILL NEED EXTENSIVE WORK TO MAKE IT ROADWORTHY, SO DON'T THINK A FEW WEEKENDS ARE GONNA GET IT RUNNING. YOU CAN SEE THIS IS AN ORIGINAL WIMBELTON WHITE CAR. WHILE AWAITING THE TITLE, I USED MY ORBITAL SANDER TO CUT THROUGH THE MANY LAYERS OF PAINT, AND YOU CAN SEE THE ORIGINAL WIMBELTON WHITE PAINT SHOWING ON THE ROOF/QUARTERS AND ALSO ON THE DOORS/FENDERS WHERE I CUT THROUGH IT. THE COLOR LOOKED TO HAVE BEEN PAINTED OVER IN A GULFSTREAM AQUA SHADE MANY YEARS PAST. RUST: THE HOOD, PASSENGER DOOR AND DECKLID ARE TOAST, RUSTED OUT. THE DRIVERS DOOR PROBABLY WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED, THE TAIL PANEL SHOULD BE REPLACED, HAS SEVERAL RUST THROUGH SPOTS, THE FLOOR PANS NEED REPLACED, FRED FLINTSTONE STYLE ON PASSENGER SIDE, THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR POST ALSO HAS A COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH SPOT PERHAPS 2" X 4" OR SO. THE CORE SUPPORT IS BUCKLED FROM COLLISION AND WILL NEED REPLACED, THE LOWER SECTION LOOKS OK, BUT THE TOP PORTION IS TWISTED AND BENT. I BELIEVE THE QUARTERS CAN BE USED, BUT THEY WILL BOTH PROBABLY NEED LOWER PATCHES DOWN LOW. TRUNK IS FAIRLY DECENT, THERE IS A COUPLE OF SMALL RUST THROUGH SPOTS, BUT I BELIEVE THEY CAN BE PATCHED AND PROBABLY WOULD NOT NEED REPLACEMENT. BOTH FENDERS HAVE SOME DENTS, A COMPETENT BODY MAN COULD PERHAPS STRAIGHTEN THEM OUT, BUT THEY WOULD NEED WORK. THE DRIVERS SIDE BEHIND THE SCOOP HAS A PRIMERED AREA THAT HAS EXTENSIVE BONDO. THE RIGHT FRONT TORQUE BOX IS CRUSTY, BUT CAN PROBABLY BE SAVED, SAME FOR THE REAR, I CAN'T FEEL ANY SOFT SPOTS BUT THEY WILL NEED WORK. BOTH DRIVERS SIDE TORQUE BOXES, FRONT AND REAR LOOK SOLID. REAR FRAME RAILS ARE SOLID, I DON'T SEE RUST THROUGH IN THE FRONT FRAME RAILS, BUT IT'S HARD TO TELL OVERALL CONDITION WITH THE WHEELS, BUMPER BRACKETS ON. FRONT SUBFRAMES SO SO. ALL GLASS PRESENT EXCEPTING DRIVERS REAR QTR WHICH IS BUSTED OUT, FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED. DOOR GLASS GOOD SHAPE, DRIVER SIDE OFF TRACK, HARD TO ROLL DOWN. STEERING WHEEL AND GAUGE FROM A 70 CAR, STEERING RAG JOINT WITH THE RUBBER DONUT ALMOST COMPLETELY TORN THROUGH SO YOU CANNOT ROTATE THE TIRES BY THE STEERING WHEEL. HOOD SCOOP COMPLETE WITH BLINKERS/GRILLE, SOME CRACKS IN SCOOP. THIS IS A POWER STEERING CAR WITH RACK STILL UNDERNEATH, AND A DRUM BRAKE CAR. THE HOOD HINGES WILL BE INCLUDED ALTHOUGH I DON'T KNOW IF THEY WILL BEND, ALL 6 BOLTS DO THREAD AND TIGHTEN UP IN THE WELDED NUTS ON REAR APRONS. THE FRONT/REAR ENGINE BAY APRONS LOOK TO BE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE, NO RUST THROUGH ON TOP, I'M NOT EVEN SURE IF THEY WILL NEED REPLACEMENT, ALTHOUGH BATTERY TRAY IS RUSTED OUT. I REMOVED SOME OF THE FENDER BOLTS AND PULLED BACK BOTH FENDERS, THE FACTORY SEQUENTIAL VIN NUMBER IS PRESENT ON BOTH APRONS, SO THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN CUT OR CLIPPED. THERE IS AN 8" UNDERNEATH THE REAR. THE DASH VIN PLATE, CORE SUPPORT BUCK TAG AND ORIGINAL DOOR TAG ARE ALL PRESENT. THE DOOR TAG DECODES AS FOLLOWS: 63A = 2 DOOR FASTBACK STANDARD BUCKET M = WIMBLETON WHITE EXTERIOR 2A = BLACK INTERIOR TRIM 16E = MAY 16TH DATE CODE 64 = DSO OF NEW ORLEANS 6 = 3.00:1 AXLE X = AUTOMATIC FMX THE VIN SHOWS THE CAR WAS BUILT IN DEARBORN, IS A FASTBACK EQUIPPED WITH A 351 TWO BARRELL. THERE IS A LOUISANA LICENSE PLATE STILL ATTACHED SHOWING DATE OF APRIL 1982. I'M SURE I HAVE MISSED MANY FLAWS OF THIS VEHICLE, BUT I'VE TRIED TO COVER THE MAIN POINTS. ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDING.
