Vehicle Detail
This is a meticulously-maintained 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesel from Dallas Texas (Texas inspection in 2010). The overall condition of the truck is EXCELLENT, you can hear it idle at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkbhfXALD1Y There are no paint bubbles, dings, dents, or rust. The truck is in EXCELLENT mechanical condition, verified by above-par fuel mileage (22+ MPG). It runs better than the day it left the factory. The interior is immaculate and never smoked in. The buyer WILL NOT be disappointed by this truck. THIS TRUCK HAS ZERO ISSUES. Factory options include: long bed, quad cab, 6 speed manual transmission, manual-shift-on-the-fly 4WD, ST options package (manual locks & windows), cruise control. The truck has 131,000 easy miles on it. I am an adult with a commercial driver's license, and I know how to take care of a diesel. I have every bit of confidence that the buyer will be amazed by the condition of this truck. This is the last year of the 5.9L and my second Cummins. It was, without a doubt, my favorite. I am the third owner, so I can't take all the credit for the condition of this truck. The previous owner really knew how to maintain a vehicle. Unfortunately, I'm in the reserves and the truck can't go with me on a long deployment. Make no mistake about it, this truck is a headturner. You will not find a truck in this condition with half the miles. I had most of the aftermarket parts put on. I was always trying to get the engine to run more efficiently with more MPGs. I averaged 22+ MPG on several highway trips, and this was after the lift, tires, and bumpers were put on. I pulled an 8,000 lb trailer from Texas to Pennsylvannia and averaged 17 MPG. Judging by my experience with my 2004 Cummins Ram, I'd say the most effective mileage mod has been my Max Mileage Quadzilla tuner. I didn't have quite the mileage results with the Bully Dog when I used it on my 2004 Ram, but it was definitely a useful downloader regarding towing. Aftermarket mods:-Max Mileage Quadzilla module-Bully Dog Triple Dog (not used on this truck, but comes with the truck)-Ranch Hand full bumper replacements (front and rear)-Century Camper Cap-B&W turnover ball gooseneck hitch-B.F. Goodrich 35" Mud Terrains with only 3K miles on them-BDS 6" suspension lift (complete with off-road shocks) This kit allows for the truck to clear 38" tires. (original suspension components included with truck) This is a great lift! No issues with abnormal tire wear, etc.-8" drop down hitch with lock-Z-TEC 17" custom wheels-AFE intake horn-K&N filter & intake-Oil filter magnet (advertises up to 5 micron filterization)-Pioneer CD Player with remote control and USB hookup for iPod, etc-Aftermarket speakers-Cummins floor mats (one of my favorites)-Custom dual exhaust (Arkansas Performance Exhaust) with 8" stainless steel tips. This exhaust sounds great! It is a straight pipe from the turbo to the end of the cab, then splits into two. You can hear the exhaust on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkbhfXALD1Y-Line-X protectant installed in bed and lower portion of the body to prevent rock chips from the Mud Terrains (of note, the bed is dusty in the photo but the Line-X really makes it look sharp) -Bushwhacker pocket style fender flares (black) off my '04 Ram -EXTRAS thrown into the deal: 4 x AFE fuel filters, 1 x oil filter, 8 x 1/4" wheel spacers (if you decide to put rims on the truck with an improper offset-off my 2004 Ram), duplicate keys for the truck, cap, hitch lock, and fuel cap; 2 x off-road tire plugs, complete owners manual and Chilton repair guide, complete jack and spare tire If you're not a fan of the Cummins (especially the 5.9), look into it. This inline-6 has 25% fewer moving parts than the Ford and Chevy diesels of the same generation. The 5.9 is far superior to the current 6.7 mil. Stock, the 5.9L put out 325 HP @ 2,900 rpm 610 ft/lb @ 1,600 rpm. Add in the intake, exhaust, and Quadzilla and I would estimate 375+ HP and over 700 ft/lb of torque with over 22 MPGs on the highway. Of note, the clutch replacement interval will be in the next 5,000 miles. I haven't noticed any issues, but some buyers with a heavy foot might want to know that. Please contact me with any requests for more pictures or information. I will provide both ASAP. This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied.
