Vehicle Detail
1967 SWB 911. Fitted with 1971 2.2E motor running on recently rebuilt Webers, 5 speed transmission. Mileage is unknown, sorry I don't have any documentation apart from a California title. The car starts very easily, idles smooth and runs all the way to redline without any flatspots. The gearbox shifts easily, doesn't grind, pop out of gear or make any noises The brakes dont shudder, squeal or grab. I drive it 25 miles to work each day. The steering is light and direct with no freeplay, however the rear suspension probably needs bushes as it moves around The car has had a repaint at some time and the paint is pretty poor, the interior is all there, however the California sun has taken its toll on the back seats squabs The passenger front seat doesn't have any rips or tears but the drivers seat side has a hole in the side bolster The steering wheel, rear bumperettes, rear reflector panel and exhaust are non original but these should be easy to find/replace The sills/rockers look to have been fibreglassed over quite some time ago and there is hole in one of the floorpan areas. The front suspension pan appears to have been replaced at some time The car is 44 years old and has not been restored, but it drives, the body panels are very straight, it is complete and is a good basis for a cosmetic restoration or a SWB hotrod conversion (R Gruppe style) On May-07-11 at 16:57:10 PDT, seller added the following information:Transmission is also from a 1971 E (911/01). Webers are 40IDA3COn May-08-11 at 14:18:25 PDT, seller added the following information:I was driving the car today and the clutch pedal lost engagement, my investigations reveal that the most likely cause is the clutch release fork has cracked as the cable adjustment doesn't hold. I have also been made aware that there is more rust than I had first believed and the rear parcel shelf will need replacing. The car is now more of a project than a driver so I have lowered my reserve to meet the current bid
