This is a beautiful Saab 900 Turbo Convertible - Red w/ Tan Leather Interior Just in Time for Summer I have made every effort to show and describe the condition of this great car.This is a great car. Fun to drive. Looks great. And a great deal. This car is definitely a classic. New quality top! Very low milage! Extra set to racing rims and tires! One owner! History: This car was purchased new by my brother-in-law on December 6th, 1988 in Beverly Hills, CA. It was used primarily to commuting 8 miles to work in Santa Monica until 2001. In 2001 I had the car shipped to Ann Arbor, Michigan in a closed transport trailer. The car is kept in my garage spring summer and fall and is stored in an in-door warehouse during the winter. It has never been driven in snow. The car has never been in an accident. The rear bumper cover was damaged by the local Saab dealer when it was in for routine repair a few years ago and they put a new bumper cover on. I put a new convertible top on myself in 2006. The top is high quality and looks and functions well. If you're a perfectionist, you may want to have it tighten up a bit, though you certainly don't have to. I have a set of four low profile tires on Fitipaldi racing rims which were given to me. I've never used them, but they are included.are included. I also have all of the original purchase documents, mainteance records and owners manuals. In addition I have a full professional maintenance manual. Condition: The car is in very good condition for it's age. Drive it away now and have fun all summer. Therer are a few things to improve.Particularly in replacing or re-attaching some of the fabric on the interior side panel. (see photo). I will try to list all the problems below, but do not be scared off by the list. The car is in sound condition and will be a lot of fun for it's new owner. Odometer: the odometer is broken and does not show the correct mileage. I have repair records from 1998 showing 49,534. This is an average of under 5000 per year. Sine I got it in 2000 the car has been driven much less than 10,000 miles. I'll let you be the judge, but my estimate is that the total mileage is well under 65,000 on the high side. Paint: The car has it's original red paint. There are several tiny dings from doors being opened into car. Paint is not damaged. Convertible top - New. I put a new convertible top on myself in 2006. The top is high quality and looks and functions well. If you're a perfectionist, you may want to have it tighten up a bit, though you certainly don't have to. Interior lining in good condition. Engine, Turbo, Transmission. Everything works well. There is a minor oil leak from somewhere. Emergency brake is not working Steering Universal clunks when straightening wheel from a full right during during parallel parking. It was like this since before 2000 when I got it and my brother-in-law says his mechanic told him that it's not a critical problem. Interior. Leather interior. Passeger seat has a place where the seam is starting to spit. Barely noticeable split. Fabric in interior door panels loose in places. Heated seats - drivers side works. Passenger side does not. Electrical New alternator in 2008. I have installed a battery ground disconnect because there is some nagging short that will eventually drain the battery. Heated seats - drivers side works. Passenger side does not. Electric windows and door locks all work fine. New ignition switch 2009 Lights and signals all working. One fog light is broken. I have removed both of them (included). Radio-cassette and all speakers work fine. Radio has been replaced from another Saab. I have the original radio and equalizer but make no claims as to their condition. Power antenna wrks. Cruise control not working. AC works, holds freon, and has all parts intact, but the belt has been disconnected. Heating works very well. Tires 50%; Exhaust recently replaced, Battery started right up when I went to pick it up after sitting all winter. It is a 3 piece cover for the soft top when it is down, and is usually stored in a bag in the trunk. If you have it, what colour is it, and what condition ? Answer: Yes, I have the cover in storage over the garage. I'll check but it should be in as new condition as its rarely or ever been used. I will post a picture this weekend.
