This is an original V-8, 289 "A" code car, with 5 lug suspension both front and rear. The "A" engine was a 4bbl 289 V8, the most powerful small block available in a 1967 Mustang! The original color was Burnt Amber, but it is currently painted white. Originally equipped with a 3 speed auto transmission. Also, this car had the desirable sport deck rear fold down seat. These Mustangs brought buyers into the showrooms by the thousands and Ford's strategy worked, selling more Mustangs than ever before. When fully restored, this car will easily sell for $35,000 or more. This would make a great father & son restoration project. BODY: The frame of this fastback will need some work. There is no collision damage, just some rust in the normal places. The parts needed to do all of the rust repair will cost about $1500. The previous owner made floors for this car out of thick 16ga sheet metal. They are very strong and useable, but you may choose to change the floors back to original to keep the "correctness" of this car. Overall this Mustang is a great candidate for a concourse restoration. The quarter panel patch panels are attached and will need to be fully installed when this car is restored. New 67 Dynacorn Fastback bodies without a title, running gear, windows, doors, etc. sell for $15,500. If you use the Buy It Now you will have a much more complete car with a correct 67 Title for less than half that amount. If you buy the car for $10,000 and invest $7000 in restoring the car, you will have a completely rust free, running, driving car worth easily $35,000 or more. That's more than a doubling of your investment within 6 months. Classic Mustangs are a great place to invest your money. INTERIOR: The interior will need a little work, but not much, and it is really the easiest part of the restoration. The good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren't accepting someone else's mistakes or bad repairs. A pair of front bucket seats is included with the car. ENGINE BAY: Engine bay is in good condition. The previous owner must have been a sheet metal worker, because all the aprons are home-made out of thick 16ga sheet metal. We are including a 1973 351 Windsor engine and automatic transmission. 351 Windsors are highly desirable, as they can be bored and stroked to 427ci. Pair that with some aluminum heads, fuel injection, and this car will scream! BRAKE SYSTEM: The mustang has front and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete. If you would rather have front disk brakes, we can add those for $1,000. MISC. The Mustang comes with good head light buckets, seats, and most all of its parts.
