This truck has been my hobby, transportation, and baby for over 3 years. I have lovingly tried to create the most unique and functional S-10 around and I believe I have met that challenge. I have always been inspired by the long, sweeping lines of the automobiles of yesteryear...I simply could not afford one! I decided that I would make my own version, using many iconic retro styling cues but with all the functionallity, dependability, and fuel economy of a modern vehicle. This truck has been treated with the utmost love and respect since it has been in my ownership. I will do my best to list all of the features I have included on this build: Exterior Custom steel roll pan Tropical Turquoise paint from TCP Global (57 chevy teal) I did the paint job myself and therefore has a few imperfections. BUT, I have entered it in numerous car shows, all of which I have placed in the top 3! The paint looks very good and this is an eye-catching truck! The paint is NOT show quality but is better than amateur or driver quality paint jobs. Custom Pinstriping on the hood and tailgate Carpeted bed (high quality exterior grade) Soft vinyl tonneau cover which latches and lifts Smoothed out chrome front bumper with new black lower valance Cadillac style "bullet" inserts to give the bumper a "retro" look Custom aluminum 15 inch rims with full moon hub caps from Mooneyes USA Custom cut and designed stainless exhaust tip Lowered 3 inches on all four corners the correct way (2 inch spindles and 1 inch springs in the front and 3 inch alluminum angled drop blocks in the back) Sonoma style hood Custom made door handles (cut and modified VW Beetle handles with custom made base plates) Custom made fiberglass fender skirts (not another pair in existence to my knowledge) Custom assembled hot rod mirrors with factory-look baseplate Black euro headlights (which mimick the look of older round headlights) and clear marker lights and blinkers Interior Painted black plastics (door panels, dash, and other assorted trim) Newly recovered 1965 Ford Mustang seats New black headliner (changed only to match the rest of the interior) Rear "backsplash" coverd in checkerd fabric Leather wrapped passenger dash handle Black rubber flooring (easy to clean!) Mechanical Runs perfectly! The throw-out bearing began for make a lillte noise around 50k miles so I promptly changed it, the clutch, and the pressure plate. The truck is nearing 89k miles and has never given me any amount of trouble since the re-work. There have been no modifications made to the engine or drivetrain. Gets great gas mileage! 25-28mpg and at the minimum 350 mile per tank (16 gallon tank) Air runs cold Brand new fan clutch I am confident that this truck will serve you well for many years to come. The only reason I am getting rid of it is because I am ready for a new project and I feel like I have completed this one! This truck has served me well and I hope to find it a loving home...no I'm not joking.
