I am the second owner and the vehicle is in immaculate condition. I purchased the vehicle with 9000 miles on it in 2000. I joined the military in 2003 and the vehicle went into climate controlled storage from 2004 to 2009. The vehicle currently has 15,323 miles on it. The vehicle has all factory WS6 options including the WS6 wheels, upgraded suspension, brakes, ram air hood, correct 6 speed transmission, and correct WS6 badging. This is is not a regular TransAm that was incorrectly modified to look like a WS6. This is the real thing. I have seen hundreds of fake ws6 cars. These cars will only produced in Quebec Ontario, at a quantity of 2200 per year. In 1997 2231 of these vehicles were produced. The vehicle is black with grey leather interior. It has power windows, power mirrors, power locks, monsoon 10 speaker sound system with cd player and equalizer, cruise control, fold down rear seat, full center console, lumbar support, fog lamps, air conditioning, t-tops, and remote lock/unlock key fobs with panic button. The car has been upgraded with Polk Mobile Monitor separates 6 1/2" + 1" tweeters in the doors and drivers in the rear passenger seating area. A 10" MTX Thunder 1000 enclosure is in the hatch and does not block the storage for the t-tops. The whole system is powered by a kicker ix405 amplifier with separate sub-woofer channel control. The sub control is mounted to the dash below the headlight switch. The amplifier is mounted to a matching false floor in the hatch area. Three sets of Rockford Fosgate RCAs have been run from behind the cd player in the dash to the hatch area under the amp rack and are available for someone who wishes to change the factory cd player out. The shifter has been changed for a B&M Ripper shifter with a Hurst Shift Knob. An Alpine 8063 car alarm has been installed with interior and exterior motion scanning, warning feature, and paging system integrated with the power antenna so the owner knows when the alarm is activated or warns someone. The programming manual and the pager are included with the vehicle. A K&N Filter has been placed into the ram-air airbox. The transmission, differential have been switched to Redline Synthetic Oil. The motor has GM recommended Mobil 1 Synthetic in it. I purchased a copy of LT1-Edit, http://carputing.tripod.com/9697lt1edit.htm licensed to the VIN in the car computer. The interface cable is included with a car. An update for the software will need to be purchased at $50 to use the software. A custom machined block off plate has been installed in place of the EGR valve and the EGR valve has been removed from the vehicle. The EGR check was disabled in the engine computer with LT1 Edit so the check engine light will not activate due to missing EGR valve. The only other thing that has been changed in the engine is that the coolant was changed in late 2003 and the thermostat was changed at the same time. The car has SLP X-over bolt on sub-frame connectors installed, but these could be removed because they are bolt-on if a new owner decides to remove them. I am sure I am forgetting things so please ask questions. I have not included photographs because the car is in a garage under a car cover and I am only willing to disturb the storage for a seriously interested buyer. Viewing is by appointment only.
