Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1975 Triumph Spitfire black with silver metal flake. This would make a good father and son project car (body work is done). The body has had an amateur restoration and it has new tires I have driven it (about a mile) but it needs the engine rebuilt, clutch and transmission work good, brakes work but are hard to push, it steers good, turn signals, wipers and headlights work. I do not have a top for it but it comes with the convertible roof frame (you can get a convertible roof on eBay for under $300) My hobby is working on motorcycles, I purchased this Triumph Spitfire in a package deal with a motorcycle so I'm selling it in the condition that I purchased it in. I have no interest in working on cars but it would be easy to get it into drivable condition. If you have any questions message or call me at 740-543-4272. I know there will be some questions about the engine, this is what I can tell you. No compression in one and two, valves weren't tight, I squirted oil into the cylinders and the compression did not improve it would have if it were the rings, it could have burnt a hole in the pistons but I doubt that it would burn holes in two pistons at the same time. And I think the head gasket is leaking water, when it runs you see white smoke. It could have lost part of the head gasket between one and two allowing it to lose compression into the other cylinder. Thanks for looking at my auction John If you are interested in this Triumph you might want to check out this item number on eBay 110678318072 . It is an engine at a reasonable price.
