Vehicle Detail
1989 Camaro RS Convertible, 5.0L V8 305 w/auto trans. 144,850 miles, runs good, drives good, needs brake work, they lock up sometimes, not sure what the problem is yet. It has been sitting all winter so that is probably part of the problem. This is an all original car. It needs a new top, which i have and will come with the car, but needs put on. Power windows and locks, cruise, has a/c but doesnt blow cold. The tach (rpm) does not read correctly. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. Dual exhaust. Body not terrible but has some rust. There is also a rust hole in the driver side floor pan. This car was a daily driver until I got it about a year and a half ago so it has the wear and tear of a 22 year old car.Interior could use reconditioning. I would classify this as a running driving project. I was going to restore it and still might if it doesnt sell, but i lost most of my interest in it that i had when i got it. It does have a new alternator, battery, radiator, and fuel pump all within this last year. Tires are decent, have a little dry rot. The pics show an aftermarket steering wheel which is currently on the car. I have the original and will include it with the sale. I will also include a car cover. This is a really decent vehicle, starts every time. I started it a couple times a week over the winter months as it sat in the garage, and started every time even in the sub zero temps. It currently does not have a stereo in it but I will throw one in with the deal. With the brakes the way they are, it could be driven short distances but I don't recommend driving it cross-country or even state. To be on the safe side, bring a trailer and it will drive right on. When I bought this car the fuel pump was out so it wasn't running, and I trailered it home behind my F-150. I think thats pretty much everything, if I think of anything else I'll add it. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. This car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early without notice.
