Vehicle Detail
Well here's the story. I bought this International 7 years ago, for $400 with great dreams and aspirations of rebuilding this beauty. 7 years and $5000 less in my account, she HAS to go. Here's the list of things I've done: Rebuilt International 345 (less than 1000 miles) - $2500. New brake system - $600 New tires - $500 New gas tank - $150 Bikini top (Small hole over passenger side) New alternator, battery, plugs, cables, thermostat Completely rewired - new electrical system. I drove it to and from work 10 - 12 times but, never felt she was "ready to go." Transmission seems to be in great shape, shifted in and out of 4 wheel drive with ease and no problems. Right now the carb needs to be rebuilt, and I don't have the heart or energy to do anything else with it. She needs to be towed but, other than that the engine is in great shape and the body has little rust. It needs TLC and someone other than myself to complete this project. I will answer any question you have with complete honesty. On Apr-29-11 at 18:04:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Let me add this last note. This is an old scout... I've tried to be honest with the condition of the vehicle. The motor, electrical system, fuel system (except the carb) are in great shape and it has almost all been replaced. The body is old and does have suface rust in places - but I still believe this is a goldmine for someone looking for a great project. If you're looking for something to hop in and drive away - this is not the vehicle for you. If you're looking for a project this could be the car for you. It is what it is, a 1973 International Harvester Scout II that is nearly 40 years old and a tough old farm truck that has a lot of potential.
