Vehicle Detail
Hello, I am selling my cafe racer motorcycle. It is registered and clean titled in California. It has been down to the frame, with every part touched ,cleaned ,modified ,or replaced. It is fast and handles like it is on rails. Dead reliable also. The bikes motor has just over 5000 miles on it originally. The bike is a real head turner.Every time out this bike gets attention like a puppy or a Ferrari. Most people ask "what is that?" What size is that? is that a Triumph? Its crazy ,and if you do not want to answer all the questions please do not bid. I just took this bike out of storage, I have it cleaned up and am ready to sell, with a clean California title in hand. Here is a description from an online magazine: For just a moment I need you to enter a zen place. Clear your mind of garish race decals and see for a moment a plain black cafe racer. One that is diminutive in stature, but built to a high level of spec and to be either raced or ridden on the street. Okay, now take a look at the bike below… What we have here is a 1972 Honda CB175 that has been cafe’d to within an inch of its life. The seller of this bike has built an AHRMA race-legal motorcycle but kept the lights and license plate. This little CB has just about everything you could want in a stylish cafe racer: clip-ons, seat, nice spoked wheels, rear-sets, custom exhaust, etc., etc., etc. And since you are still in your zen place, you have overlooked the race decals and seen through them to the beautiful motorcycle beneath… Some specs: Motor is a 1972 cl175 Front wheel is c160 (bigger breaks) and is vented for cooling Rear rim is original but vented brand new chain New aluminum rear sprocket Petronix electronic ignition for easy starting and crisp throttle response Accel coil pack for v-twin Moon sparkplug wires seat bellypan and front fender are fiberglass (custom of course from Glass from the Past) Suziki gt 250 throttle(the best) New levers new grips All cables recently replaced Bridgestone battle axe high performance tires Freshly rebuilt and polished forks Polished triple trees 1969 SS tank Custom rear rock guard Custom stainless catch can yuasa sealed maintenance free battery It starts by bump start only, kick gear still present it got in the way of the rear sets perault performance clip ons Motobits CNC machined aluminum rear sets Race filters with 90 degree boots much more... I just took the bike into service at Kon Tiki Motorcycles in San Diego ca(4/21/2011).The bike was fully adjusted and found to be working great. It was given a fresh tune up and a clean bill of health. Kon Tiki is the BEST in the business for vintage bikes and they told me that this was one of the most unique bikes they have ever had in the store. I have an extra helmet I can throw in for someone if interested, also I can leave the title blank.google cb175 and this bike will automatically show up!! ___Please come look at the bike before you bid.I am in San Diego 92109 message me and i will give you my cell phone number, also a high bid does not give you the right to come here after the auction and assume that is a starting point of negotiating. I will leave feedback if that is your agenda.I will give you an opportunity to look at the bike. Then what is fair is fair Thanks, and good luck! On Apr-23-11 at 17:15:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Please remember this is a purpose built race bike. It is 40 years old. While it may look cool, it has had almost every part replaced but it has never been officially fully restored. If you come to look at it keep that in mind. On Apr-26-11 at 12:59:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a video I did today that was requested by some people. I really don't know how to ride very well but this is pretty much the best I can do. By the way I am 6'175 for scale purposes. Thanks! You would have to go online and get a detailed estimate for your particular location. Also included in the auction is a battery tender that is already installed. (you plug it in underneath the seat to keep the bike charged fully) Then keep it plugged into an ac wall outlet. In the case where you don't ride very often. The rear center stand that is in the picture is also included. It also has a kickstand installed to the frame. On May-01-11 at 11:05:14 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a video of a cold start. I taped my iphone to the headlight so it gets really blurry and psychedelic effect while I am riding.
