Up for auction is a beautiful show condition 84 Mercedes-Benz 500SEC with the Lorinser package. Fully documented since new with photographs when brand new, before and after the Lorinser package in Germany and importing papers to the United States. This car is an original Euro and cost over 55,000 new. We have many service records and other documents showing it's two owners and the impeccable care this vehicle has had over the last 27 years. We also have a current CarFax showing that this car has never been damaged and the actual miles. As you can see in the pictures, this car is in incredible condition and is a true time capsule. As a real "head turner" its a pleasure to drive and is smooth as silk. The exterior of the car is near show condition, with only one small dent behind the rear license plate frame. The paint is very nice and shows little wear. All the trim, glass, Lorinser installed body panels, and bright work are beautiful. The Boyd Coddington wheels wrapped in new tires, set this car off like no other! The engine compartment is very original and CLEAN, all of the zinc and bare aluminum components are bright and shiny due to our dry and rust free climate. This car has never been in any humid or salty enviroment. The undercarriage is the same, clean and rust free. The interior is very nice for its age. There are a few hairline cracks in the dash and wood trim, there is also some slight shrinkage in the leather on the top of the rear seat. This is very typical for cars of this vintage with the original interior. Leather treatment has been applied regularly and has preserved the seats well. The interior is very clean and smells fresh. To our knowledge, everything on this car works and performs as it did when it was new with the exception of the radio. If you are looking for a very rare and extremely well preserved 500 SEC that has great looks then this is the car for you!
