The chassis number, body number, engine, and transmission all match the numbers stamped into the oritginal data plate. Finished in Red and trimmed with Tan Connolly Leather. This is a later Series 1 by some called a 1 1/4 as only the headlights are open, 888th. car of open lights. This is not a S1 1/2. It has the original triple 2" SU Carbs, small mouth with recesses motif bar, toggles, not rockers, knock offs and curly hubs. Most all items on the car are original and correct to this rare motorcar. The body is laser straight, including the inner and outer sills, the floors including the boot floor, are all outstanding and original to the car. The frame rails, picture frame, and bonnet are straight, as shown in the photos.Some cars drive good, some drive GREAT and some not so good, This is one of the "GREAT ONES", not just good but great. Fit , Finish & Paint: It has a Laser straight body, beautiful chrome & stainless as also shown in the photos, the car is as pristine today as the day it was delivered new.Interior: The interior is finished in Tan English Leather, Wilton Wool Carpeting, etc., and is correct in every way. The top is finished in the correct Faun Canvas and is flawless.Engine: The engine runs Suburb, with correct oil pressure at both speed and idle, 20 lbs. At idle when at temp and 50+ at speed. The head was pulled to inspect for corrosion, valves and seats were inspected for wear and adjusted to factory specifications. Carbs were disassembled, rebuilt and adjusted by a factory trained engineer. All gauges and switches are original, fully restored and in working order.
