As you can see in one of the pictures I have a new "baby". A 1972 Chevy Pickup is now in my driveway and my wife says this must go!!! What a beauty she is!!! I hate to sell her guys but I never drive her and she deserves to be driven. She handles like a dream. Touch the steering wheel a centimeter and she moves in the road. Oh, baby! 0-40 through the six speed manual transmission is the quickest you'll ever move in a motor vehicle. Driving this car is like driving in the 24 hours at Le Mans...pure magic! Put the top down and cruise with the Alpine Stereo cranked or soft, you choose. CD/MP3 player with XM Radio capability. Its got a serious bass blowing subwoofer in the boot to rock you and your partner all through the day and the night. I would drive this car anywhere...to Florida or New York tomorrow. To California or Vegas, if I wanted to. I have NO FEAR this baby will make it. Here's why: The 1.8 litre 4 cylinder has been completely rebuilt from the head up by a MASTER MECHANIC. This guy is GOOD. He teaches auto mechanics to students. Everything there is new. A new coil pack...you know how much they cost! Everything new...I don't have to list them all...fuel injectors, plugs, wires. The radiator and hoses are brand spankin' new! Anti-sway bar across the top of this little heathen's engine just to help keep it in line. I didn't want to sell this beauty without it being RIGHT because this car is FOR SALE LOCALLY and someone I know might buy it so...I just spent $600.00 for a new clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. The throwout bearing was making a slight noise when the clutch was depressed so I thought to get that fixed but my mechanic (the GOOD one) said I should replace all of the above to make it RIGHT so, there you go! She actually runs and shifts better than any other time that I have owned her. Man, I really hate to sell her but I have my first grandchild on the way and this car needs to be driven and shown by someone who has the time to get her out. I don't have the time. She just sits in my driveway. She is, and should be, a DAILY DRIVER! 30 MILES TO THE GALLON! 30 MILES TO THE GALLON! Since the rebuild from the head up (and now the clutch assembly replacement) she has had about 3 thousand miles put on her. I bought her off EBAY in 2005 out of Cincinnati for $9,000.00. She had 78k miles on her then. What else? Slotted disc grooved brakes. Custom dual exhaust system. Custom roll bar. Chrome beauty rings around the air conditioner vents (as shown in picture). Chrome, billetted? style gas cap. WOW! Are you kidding me? She's a beauty! And YOU can own her! Not for $12,000.00-$14,000-00 like other cars here. Sure, they are worth the higher price. Low mileage. Show room beauty. Garage kept. But fellas, this car is a DAILY DRIVER if you want it to be. Don't be afraid to get it out EVERY day and take advantage of that 30 MILES PER GALLON transportation.
