If all of them dont load at first, you may need to reload/refresh the page to get all of them to show up. - WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS CARS HISTORY?This car is a REAL SALEEN - not a clone or replica (all original plaques and stickers from Saleen are still present. It was purchased new by the first owner in Houston, Texas. According to Carfax, there have been 3 owners since new, and all of them have been from Texas. Since it has always been from here, there is no rust or corrosion anywhere at all. I just purchased this car from the third owner. He was a really nice middle-aged guy who was recommended to me by one of my old customers. He had owned the car for several years, but hes going through a divorce and didnt want the car to go to his wife. He bought the car in June of 2003 from Stallion Auto Sales in Arlington. He had it financed through State Farm Bank and paid off the loan in May of 2006. It was only a weekend car for him - which is apparently just as its been for the previous owners since the mileage is so low. - WHAT DOES THE CAR NEED?I just had my mechanic shop go over this car very thoroughly to make sure its ready to drive anywhere, and they also took care of some preventative maintenance while they had it. They changed the oil (Mobil 1 Full Synthetic), changed the transmission fluid, replaced the rear differential pinion seal, did a 4-wheel computer alignment, balanced all 4 tires, replaced both catalytic converters, and replaced the drivers door hinge bushings. Additionally, I also had my upholstery shop install a BRAND NEW TOP. The original top was just beginning to show some wear at the crossbows. Everything works great and the car is ready to drive anywhere. - HOW IS THE OVERALL CONDITION OF THE CAR?This car is quite clean and looks great, but its not a show car. It has been repainted at some point (due to the factory clear coat peeling, so I was told), and they did a fairly good job. This is certainly not anything Maaco could replicate - the finish is excellent and the color is spot on. The only hints of the repaint I can find are a few very small spots of overspray on a couple pieces of trim and weatherstrip, and this is only noticeable upon very close inspection. There are a few tiny door dings from normal use. The front bumper (mainly on the lower half) has had several tiny rock chips (and chips in the fiberglass) touched up, and the rear bumper has a small horizontal crack in the paint. The tires have a few thousand miles of life left (maybe a little more than that for the rears). Inside, the seats have all been redone in 2-tone black/red pleather. They did a decent job and it looks good. A few of the interior trim pieces have been painted red, and unfortunately they painted over one of the original Saleen authenticity plates that sits behind the shifter. There are no stains, tears, or cracks in any upholstery or panels. The interior shows quite well for its age. All power accessories, electronics, etc. work perfectly. The engine runs excellent - tons of smooth torque. It idles smoothly and does not smoke. There are no leaks. The engine doesnt make any ticking noises or anything else that it shouldnt. The true dual exhaust sounds phenomenal (and its not too loud). There have been a few accessories added to the engine: Fluidyne aluminum radiator, Mac cold air intake, full MSD ignition (distributor, coils, spark plug wires, etc.), an Optima dry cell battery, and a full Flowmaster exhaust system with an H-pipe to further reduce backpressure. There may be more, but this is all I can see. Of course, there are also the standard Saleen drivetrain modifications such as underdrive pulleys, a strut tower brace, special springs, shocks, huge swaybars, etc. Most of the Saleen Mustangs Ive seen also had a supercharger, but this one doesnt.
