Consignment sale for gentleman that is selling it due to job promotion with brand new company truck given to him. This big truck was his daily driver until just this week. This is one big Ford, 1989 F-250 XLT Lariat regular cab, 8 foot bed, 4x4, EFI 5.8L-351 V8 engine, 5 speed manual transmission (1-2-3-4-OD), power steering and brakes, air conditioning, tilt wheel, cruise, sliding rear window, heavy duty 3/4 ton driveline and upgraded factory heavy duty suspension, aluminum wheels, bedliner, am-fm-cd stereo sytem (no speakers included), cloth bench seat, rubber flooring, lockout hubs, high-low range 4 wheel drive, dual fuel tanks, etc......Big Boys Toy!! Truck has a Trailmaster 6 inch suspension lift sytem on it and 35" BF Goodrich A/T radials. Sits up nice and level, no drooping rear end, stands tall! Tires are just fair and have wear......will get you through til end of year easily but should have better tires for winter season. Truck has current state safety and emmissions inspections good through end of year 12/11!! Interior is clean and very nice overall. Minor wear in seat but not ratty or messed up at all inside....just stock and original and good shape. Body is solid and straight. Had very minor work/touch ups done around rear wheel well lips/edges but very minor and done to keep solidness and nice appearance. Very solid body/cab, bed, doors, rockers, cab corners, fenders, etc......good shape. Underneath is also solid and in great original condition.....solid floors, solid frame, solid spring hangers (typical Ford bad spot), and solid cab mounts.....some with recent bushings. Just a really solid and original truck.....not all hacked up or beat. Kept after for solid integrity, driveability and good appearance. Looks very, very good overall. Paint is decent but faded....still looks very good and would actually buff/wax out to a decent shine with some good wax and "elbow" grease. Very good looking truck overall and appears as a nice, clean, original looking driver. Some recently new work/parts done in last year or so (according to owner): new clutch assembly, alternator, battery, oil pump, serviced, inspections, rear diff fluids changed, minor service things here and there. Truck starts right up and runs great! Has no odd engine noise or smoke noticed, idles smooth and quiet and revs up strong with no hesitations. A/C is all there and hooked up, compressor is good (not locked up) but will need freon recharged for summer use. Heat works great. Dual fuel tanks work and switch over properly but gas guage does not always read accurately. Rear antilock light is always on with key but no problem found or noticed. Transmission and clutch work properly and the truck drives, runs and works very well. 4-wheel drive also works properly. Truck handles the roads and highways very well....even with the lift and poor tires, still drives very nicely! Ok, here is the only problem with this truck that I am aware of.....speedometer/odometer do not always work. Previous owner had a remanufactured transmission installed 2 years ago and had the clutch replaced in July, 2010. After the clutch work the speedo/odo. stopped working intermittently and became more steady to the point where it hardly works at all now. Previous owner kept track of his miles for tax purposes and states that there are about 10,000 miles more on truck than odometer reads right now (114,603), so this would mean that the truck has about 125k miles. He was told that the cable is bad or possibly guages in dash...??? You are buying as true mileage unknown and mileage exempt. There ya go folks....not new or perfect but a daily driver, big ole F-250 with a nice driveline combo (5.8 V8 with 5 speed 4x4), inspected and lifted.....ready to work or play! There are also some service records/receipts in glove box for some work done over the years. Great work truck or build it more! Drive as you build, work....play or just cruise in this big boy! Neat old truck and she runs/drives/works great.....strong and powerful truck! Clean and clear title in hand.
