1980 Honda XL500S

Let Me first say that I'm selling this XL with a very heavy heart!!/I'm selling (3) of my favorite old dual-sports to make room (physically & financially)for the purchase of a longtime dream bike of mine(Old Moto Guzzi)/This very slick XL500s is the first of the 3 bikes(others are '81 XT500's)/XL500's that have survived intact all these years is very RARE!!/I have worked very hard to put it in it's best possible condition/I have installed New Timing Chain, New Rings,Fresh Re hone of standard bore cylinder/New Tires,Tubes and brakes on both ends/I have found the impossible to find New Old Stock shocks (in Great Britain)/Found a New Honda OEM bolt-on tool box(not in the pictures)in New Zealand/The bike starts cold on 1-2 kicks(warm on 1 kick)/Auto kickstart decompression works great/This machine runs like New!!Just a Joy to ride!!/Dent in Right side of tank "popped out"/ I have original Honda Owners & Shop manual's/I have rode her twice since finishing her in late Feb. 2011 and hate to see her go (I know I most likely will never have the chance to find another in this shape)/PayPal or Cash on pickup only/Clear Missouri title in my name and in hand/Will assist with no crate shipping that is prearranged and paid for by winning bidder/Bike is for sale locally and listing may be canceled at anytime/Please e-mail any questions/Thanks for reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!
