Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 L78 project car. This is a very rare car as according to what I've been able to read there were only 1138 of them built. The engine and transmission are gone. When I got the car it had a 327 with a Muncie 4 speed that was incorrect. The rear axle in the car is a 12 bolt but I can't verify if it's original. The numbers on the tube read BL 1202G1 . The vin tag states this car is a Chevy, Camaro, V8, Sport Coupe, made in 1967. The Trim Tag states the car was built in Norwood and 07B would indicate it was built the second week of July 1967, E for Black Interior, 67-12437 indicates model year and Sport Coupe with Standard Interior, 760-Z for Black Standard Bucket seats, A-A for Tuxedo Black paint, E for Tinted Windows, 2 L indicates 4 speed transmision, S for rear antenna, R for Rear seat speaker, 3 SK RPO Z23 Option interior decor, Option Z21 Option Style Trim Group, 4 K indicates 396 - 375 L78. The Interior is there but will need work. The passenger and rear seats are in very good condition. The dash is also in good shape. The dash pad is good. Original AM radio still in place. Speedo shows 56,381 Miles ?? The glass is mostly original but (if I'm remembering correctly) the passenger glass has been changed in the past. I do have some original Soft Ray Tinted glass to replace that piece. Some time in the past they cut out the shifter tunnel but luckily they just folded the metal underneath and it can easily be welded back in position. The chrome trim pieces are also in very good condition and may just need polishing to be usable. The car hit something in the front and damaged the lower valance, grill and header. The hood is also damaged. There are also areas of bondo on the car. I have taken photos of the collision and bondo I am aware of. The car has some minor rust areas but all in all it's very clean. I have taken photos of the areas of rust I'm aware of. As I mentioned above this is a RARE car and restored properly will be very valuable. I have too many projects and don't see this one getting done anytime soon. I have posted several photos here http://s1131.photobucket.com/albums/m545/sperryfish/ If you would like specific photos please let me know.
