Vehicle Detail

For everyone that inquired about more detailed pictures. I rushed to get it listed and simply washed the truck. Due to the overwhelming response, if this doesn't sell I will re-list it with better pictures after detailing it. I will include pictures on a lift and try and show you more detail. Also, after numerous questions more answers came to this 50 year old mind. One of the questions was: What was done to the motor prior to adding the blower? Obvious concerns would be excessive wear and compression questions. I can't honestly answer because I really don't know but I can say as I told others; I don't think it's running that much boost besides the fact that these were low compression engines to start. I absolutely never had issues with detonation but I also don't flog it. I had forgotton that when I changed the plugs other than oil and filters that was the first work I had done to it so my concerns were quite the same and while they were out I performed a simple compression check knowing that the boost can disguise a weak hole easily. All cylinders were impressively with in pounds of eachother and with good psi. I would not object to anyone wanting to do that when they come to see it or even better yet you can perform a leakdown test at the property where I have the truck. In short, I have nothing to hide so throw at me whatever you would like to do. I work at a MB/Porsche dealership so I can supply you with a lift, compressed air etc. Also added to the items below are two other items I replaced; 1.) the "nightmare" job of a starter at the cost of a few knuckles. I may be wrong but I seem to remember how difficult it was to extract and I think I purchased a smaller high torque starter. I may be wrong because I also have two BBC's in my boat and I'm always doing one thing or the other but I will verify when I get it in the air. 2.) the not much more pleasurable fuel pump in the tank. Both of these items are less than a year and a half. This is the first time that I heard that there is a mileage discrepancy reported. When I bought the truck in 2006 and titled it in NJ, noone ever said that the mileage was in question nor do I recall the previous owner ,a pretty straight up guy, telling me anything of the sort. After I paid for it, with in a year I needed quick cash and borrowed $10000 from Capital one and one of their stips is not over a 100000 miles and must be actual so I truly can not tell you what the deal is. Never the less, if you see and drive it, the condition of the leather...you wouldn't hesitate to think there was an error made in reporting. I suppose it shouldn't be that significant any way with a 16 tear old custom truck but I simply want all parties interested to know as much as I know. This is a 1995 GMC dually ext. cab. Whipple Charged 7.4L (454) Lowered with flip rear kit and drop spindles. firestone air assist in rear. It is 74000 miles and runs great and everthing works as it should. A/C blows ice cold, all power accessories work well. Lt interior has less than normal wear and no rips or tears. Mobil 1 synthetic (atleast since I've owned it). The paint seems to be all original and shines very nice with a few exceptions. The glass hood should be re-done and a few areas on the dually rear where the previous owner may have flex'd them and the paint looks to be cracked. ( 5 feet away it isn't noticeable but the metal parts of the truck are very nice and original so I would re do the flares.) Has a sir Michaels rear roll pan with a hide a hitch. (not the roll pan itself but to the right of it there is a small dent in the corner where a few beers too many caused it one night and a few scrapes where I backed the traier tounge in to it.) This has been inside since the purchase of my 350 so I simply rinsed it off for these pictures. I will detail the truck prior to pick up. Except for the hood, the metal is super straight and the original paint looks very nice when polished. There body has"0" rust! Whipple supercharger that was on when I purchased it at 52000 miles and was told it was done long before that. I never had an issue with it. From what I understand, they are relatively "bullet proof". High quality plug wires and plugs and cap done less than 5000 miles ago. 6 2000 mile old BF Goodrich tires new slider rear glass 2 year old flip hard cover cowl hood New front pads 5000 miles ago radar detector hidden in roof console(motorized compartment opens w/ switch) Rhino type liner I bought this 19000 miles ago and it has serviced me very well. Previously I towed a 22 ft Apache and it was easy and towed effortless. Now I have an old twin BBC 9 Meter Mirage with a triple axle steel trailer and although towed well it was a bit tough pulling that pig up a slippery steep ramp. I've since aquired a 7.3 Turbo diesel to pull it with. I do not want to sell the supercharger. I was offered $2000 for it alone but would really prefer to sell it together as it's all a nice useable package. I will take $7500 for it and if for some reason you do want it with out the whipple, I found an original TBI set up that I wll install and sell the truck for $5500 and keep the whipple. If that works I will need a $2000 deposit to insure the transaction before I get involved with tearing it apart and buying injection set ups. I really would like the cash but would consider a partial trade on a good serviceable $2000 work truck(doesn't have to be pretty)or "non Project" partial boat trades. I have a twin i/o 30 foot offshore speed boat so I'd be interested in a smaller vessel for quick in and out when the other is too big or Broken....:-) I like sidewinder jet boats, Donzi classic, 20 Cig, 17-21ft sutphen, 22 apache, 22 velocity, 21 superboat, shadow , 24 Pantera , 22 Avanti or anything cool old school. With the value of the charger and what I've added in the way of tires, brakes, folding cover, liner...it's almost $5000. The truck is near Atlantic City and I wouldn't hesitate to drive this a 1000 miles tomorrow. If you feel reasonable about an offer feel free to call me 609-226-4485 Alex but otherwise have the courtesy not to forward me lowballs
