Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE Up for your consideration is my old trash hauler truck. I have hauled numerous cars on my car trailer with this truck and it does a good job. I've owned it for 4 years and just bought a newer truck to take it's place. A year and a half ago, the timing chain broke on the original engine so I replaced it with one I had in my shop. The engine is a target master 350 with a 270 comp cam, performer intake and 600 Holley with vacuum secondaries. The Engine has less than 20,000 miles on it and runs very good. The transmission was tired too so it was replaced at the same time, it has less than 5,000 miles on it and is a th350. The body on the truck is really good for being 41 years old. The cab mounts are great and there is just a little rust in the outer rocker panels. There are some minor dings and a couple of small dents in the body. There is a large push in dent on the passenger side bed in front of the wheel well. You can see it in the pictures. The paint is old and faded and the trim is missing, but this truck is a good candidate for a repaint or old school shop truck theme. Interior is pretty good and complete, dash pad and rubber floor mat are cracked, seat will need recovered. NO CUT DASH OR DOORS. The old wooden steering wheel broke a little, so I taped it up. 3 black rings on the upper left, functional and is a tribute to "The Intimidator". Overall this truck has great potential for a restoration or just use as a work truck. HERE ARE A FEW THINGS I KNOW IT NEEDS: power steering pump is on its last leg, it leaks and then quits working obviously. Kick down cable needs replaced on the transmission. The universal one on the tranny was too short to hook up. The speedo gear is the wrong one for the gear ratio so the speedo reads approximately 10 miles an hour faster than you're going. Sounds like an exhaust leak is coming, I hear it at idle and low rpms, quiets down when up to speed. There is a small oil leak where the timing chain cover and oil pan meet. It should have new tires and wheels. These will get by but are old and worn. Lip on drivers side rear wheel was bent, so a tube is installed there. Aluminum box in bed picture does NOT go with truck. One pump of the gas and the truck fires right up, electric choke works, firm shifts from the tranny. Good radiator, never overheats. Good sounding idle. It's due for an oil change which I will do before the truck leaves with Castrol oil and a Wix filter.
