this my trusty 98 dakota. it was originally an SLT, but I added all sorts of aftermarket add on`s including a wings west front bumper cover, 4 original dodge fender flares, rear roll pan w/hidden hitch, original mopar leather seat covers, leather steering wheel w/cruise controls. the 5.2 [318] v8 breathes thru a k&n air cleaner [see pic] and a 50mm ported and polished throttle body, then thru a dual flowmaster exhaust w/stainless tips.. [about 8 months old] The motor is still a monster, and sounds like it at idle. this is a rear wheel drive, and way faster and more powerfull than any 4 wheel drive model. the trans was recalled by dodge years ago, for a band, and has given no trouble since. I had the rear rebuilt, about 4 years ago, and a rear disc brake kit installed. all 4 brake rotors were replaced in october, and pads the pads replaced. also had a new alternator, fuelpump and rad installed in the past 2 years or so. the motor is stock except for the ad ons I mentioned. its never been touched! even the valve covers have the orig gaskets! the motor is tight, no noises, uses very little oil. [1 qt per 2000 mi.] and turns heads all the time! I`ve owned this truck for many years, and its still got lots of life. the ac still blows cold, and everything works, with the exception, of the fog lights. [just never bothered to look at them] All the glass is good, and the windshield was replaced last july. there is a dent in the rear right quarter. but the rest of the truck has only normal wear and tear. the pic`s show a fiberglass tonnue cover on the back of the truck, but its NOT included in the sale. {I may offer it to the winner} please email me with any questions. this truck needs a new home, so best offer will take it. buyers are welcome to come by and check it out. we live in hickory nc. the wheels on the truck are 16 in. 04 dakota original`s w/ original bfg`s 265 70 16`s still have good tread. I have a matching wheel and tire for the spare! truck shows 262k but runs and looks like its got much less. there are two computers for the truck also. one is chipped and needs high prem gas. truck is sold as is where is. no warranty, so I encourage all prospective buyers to come by and check it out for yourself.
