Selling our 2001 Ford Explorer XLS 4 door 4X4. This is our daughters car she used to commute to Chicago & back. 262 miles one way. It served her faithfully this past year. But , because she is moving to a place that doesn't have parking, she no longer has use for it. We bought it a year ago, with 168,000 miles. And I went all through the wear and tear items, to ensure she wouldn't have any problems. I changed all the fluids/filters [oil/air/ tranny/anti-freeze/etc...],replaced shocks,U-joints,serpentine belt. Checked the steering components,tires,brakes [all still in very good condition].The 4X4 works flawlessly, as it should,with no noise or vibration. Interior is in great shape! No rips or tears! Doesn't use any oil. No leaks on the ground. A/C blows cold! There is a couple of stains in the cargo area. But, the passenger compartment is excellent. All the bells & whistles work as they should. The only negative things I can think of is there is a chip in the windshield [there before we bought it] & the spare tire carrier is broken [thats the reason for the stain in cargo area, from carrying the spare]. The exterior is very nice. No rust or dents. The paint looks shiny. You can tell it's been well taken care of all it's life, to look/ run this well! Obviously, I am not afraid to put my daughter in it, and send her out in the world alone.We just need to thin the herd! Offering it at No reserve!! The high bidder will be the new owner!
