This is a very dependable car. I own a race shop that specializes in British Cars. This has been my "daily" driver for nearly 10 years and I have kept it in very good working order. It had a blue printed engine rebuild about 2500 miles ago on it and it turns right over and starts right up. The frame is not bent and there is no visible body damage. There is an upfitted finned cast aluminum oil pan that can take more scrapes than the standard pan, the exhaust is stainless steel, I have the front bumper but not the rear. It has minor issues; the paint, (see photos), the turn signal is a switch mounted to the dash, the horn does not operate, the heater does not work and the emergency brake does not work. But that is it. Really not bad. I have a smitty transmission conversion using a Toyota 5 speed gear box, but I do have the original gearbox with over drive that goes with the car (I can install it for $1,300 over the sell price if you like) personally I like the smooth shifting of the Toyota and felt I could always go back to the original if need be. It does have a very nice convertible top and it does have side curtains. I recently sold a 1959 Bug Eye Sprite on Ebay and the purchaser was very satisfied as you will be also if you win this car.
