Beautiful 1970 Volkswagen Beetle convertible! It starts easily, runs great, drives well, the gauges work, the clutch, brakes and shifter all work well, and the car is quite dependable overall. The windows and top go up and down nicely. This is a very nice, very presentable car, however it is not a show car or concours restoration. It has some cosmetic blemishes as you can see in the photos, as well as some previous repairs to the floors. The engine compartment is very clean and has no signs of leakage, and the motor doesn't smoke at all. The car drives really nicely overall. The car is NY State inspected, however the windshield wipers aren't currently working, which I am told is due to the switch. As I've never driven it in the rain, I haven't corrected it. The radio is original, but I don't get any sound out of it. I haven't attempted to clean the tuner yet, but will attempt to do that before the car is sold. Once again, this is a really fun driver with good tires, good brakes, good glass, a beautiful interior and it's ready to go cruising! I also have video of the car here. It sounds really loud but that's just the microphone on the camera.
