ON THE BLOCK is this vintage 1962 R60/2 U.S. model. The bike was running fine when the kick-starter quadrant lost some teeth. I parked the bike and began to disassemble it..... when I lost my job. Then I got a divorce. Now 12 years later and with 3 granddaughters to occupy my time and money, I don't see myself getting around to a proper restoration. Yes, I could clean all the goodies and part it out for my money, but that's unethical in my opinion, especially since it is mostly all the original parts. The green canvas tool bag has some original tools, the rubber inspection plug is white, etc. There are some extra chrome dress-up parts that go along with it. Even the tyres are still aired-up. Now just to be clear, it will take a few bucks to make this into a $12,000 show bike, but just put it back together, with a new kick-starter and some paint, and it will run fine and still be worth $6000.00. Obviously a local pick-up will be preferred, but feel free to e-mail with shipping ideas, I'll be glad to work something out.
