Up for auction is my 1987 Pontiac Fiero with a 5 speed transmission and v6 engine. I bought this car for my brother a month ago. He has an internship with General Motors this summer and was told to drive a GM car while on site. After he toured the facility he realized most people did not abide by this mentality anymore and told me he did not want the car. I can not drive it as I am 6'9" tall so its basically taking up parking space. I put a brand new distributor, cap and rotor on it for $168.00 along with a used computer, fuel and injector relay to get it running. Prior owner installed new fuel pump. Basically the car runs, but I am physically unable to test drive it, and the exhaust has a rusted pipe on it which puts a lot of heat into the engine bay. I strongly suggest trailering the car home and going over a safety check on it as I can only guarantee it starts up. This vehicle auction will be run with no reserve, so the highest bidder will own it regardless of final price. I feel ebay auctions should always have a winning bidder and placing a reserve price on listings only takes away from the auction experience. A $200.00 refundable deposit on the car is required within 24 hours of the auction closing to cover ebays high fees. If winning bidder wants to pick up the car within 24 hours the paypal deposit is not required. The deposit is non refundable if the winning bidder fails to pick up or at least pay in full by the required time set on this auction; which is ten days after auction ends. I want make it clear that if you examine the car and find I have not listed it accurately I will not hold you to buying it and will still leave positive feedback on your account along with refunding your deposit minus $50.00 for listing fees. I am not using ebay to scam people out of money, its a great marketing tool to get my items to the most viewers. I also need to make it clear that this is not a get out of jail free card giving buyers the opportunity to come kick the tires. If you win the bid you must prove that I have inaccurately listed it. Exterior: Body is fairly straight, hole on front bumper and headlight buckets do not go up. Please look at photos and video to make your own judgement of car. Tires seem safe and hold air. Interior: Interior shows it's been driven. Again, please look at photos. Radio does not work, gauges appear to all work. Powertrain: Motor runs good, very loud due to exhaust leak near header. I replaced the distributor, cap, rotor, and computer to get it running. Also replaced the fuel pump relay and fuel injection relay. Coolant cap needs replaced as the rubber in it is worn and leaks coolant. Motor backfires when reved as it sucking air in the exhaust hole. I have not driven the car at all, but brakes do work and clutch feels good. Overall a very worthwhile project or immediate driver, you decide after you replace the exhaust.
