Vehicle Detail

1948 Buick Super Eight Special 2-Dr Sedan This car has a GOOD CLEAR MICHIGAN TITLE in my name. Body Style No. 48-440. This has the original drive train and straight 8. The motor turns over. The frame seems to be pretty solid. This car has still has some old paint on it along with surface rust. This has been sitting for many years, and needs some work. It needs both rockers, and part of the floors replaced. There is more of a rocker on the passenger side, so would be easy to copy… it is a rectangle box. They do make new rockers and floor pans for this car. The floors are all solid in the center, and the back wheel wells where the fenders bolt on are all solid. Underneath the back seat is solid. The trunk floor pan is rusted out as you see in pictures. Trunk lid has some rust. The driver side bottom fender was rusted out, and I made a new panel for it and welded it on… as I am a professional body technician by trade. The body has some dents, but not a lot. The hood tilts to the side, and someone messed up the hinge latches. Something else will need to be engineered for this. The STAINLESS DOOR VISORS DO NOT GO WITH THE CAR. The doors open and close good, and the body lines are all good. Bottom of doors are rusted out and need work. The gas lid door was missing, but I was able to find one that goes with the car. It does need a hinge. The car is missing the hood moulding on the right passenger side, the hood ornament, and the rocker moulding on the driver side, and part of the rocker moulding on the passenger side. The body of the Buick Fleetline is the same as the body of the Chevy, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac Fleetlines. Please email with any questions. A Paypal Deposit of $100 is required within 24 hours of end of auction. Balance is due-in-full within 5 days of close of auction. I will accept cash in person, cashier's check, or wire transfer of funds. All funds must clear before I will release the car. Buyer is responsible for all costs related to transporting the car. Car can stay here for a reasonable amount of time to be agreed upon by both buyer and seller, as long as it has been paid for in full. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge, and it is being sold as is. Car will need to be trailered, and must be picked up at my home in Lawton, Michigan ZIP 49065. Buyer is responsible for any and all costs to pick up the car and must find their own transportation. I will be happy to assist in loading the car on your trailer.
