Vehicle Detail

1976 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow SWB Vehicle Particulars Build year/Model year: 12/75 1976 make: Rolls Royce Model: Silver Shadow where built: United Kingdom VIN: SRE 23546 Engine: 6.75L V8 Mileage: 97165 Years produced: 1965-1980 Power: 220bhp Torque: 365 lb/ft GVWR: 6050lbs 220 bhp (est.), 6.75-liter V8 engine with dual SU carburetors, three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 automatic transmission, independent front and rear suspension with coil springs and self-leveling system, hydraulically-actuated four-wheel disc brakes. Wheelbase: 123" Rolls-Royce, renowned for engineering excellence, was organized from the outset to “…be established to provide motor vehicles for use on land, water or in the air”. Indeed, all of these elements have been mastered over an illustrious history. With a tradition of evolution rather than revolution, the introduction of a new Rolls-Royce model was an important occasion. The Silver Shadow, introduced in October 1965, marked the adoption of monocoque or unibody construction by Rolls-Royce. The Silver Shadow V8 engine received a displacement increase to 6.75 liters in 1970, and a corresponding increase in output to an estimate 220 horsepower. This robust, aluminum-alloy V8 was teamed with an equally stout, column-shifted GM Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 three-speed automatic transmission. The Silver Shadow also featured the innovative high-pressure hydraulic system licensed from Citroën, with dual-circuit braking and hydraulic self-leveling suspension, which provided legendary ride quality. The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow offered here is a wonderful example, and is handsomely finished in Cream and Carmel Brown with nougat leather interior. Aside from a repaint, the Silver Shadow is entirely original and has been impeccably maintained. Optional equipment includes power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks and cruise control. Passenger amenities include a Blaupunkt radio with cassette player, a clock, heater and air conditioning. This Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is also offered with a folder containing invoices for service performed. A stately, thoroughbred automobile, it awaits the opportunity to transport its new owner with style and dignity, and exemplifies the unparalleled luxury that only a Rolls-Royce can offer. As a famous slogan stated, “At 60 miles per hour, the loudest noise comes from the electric clock”. The vehicle was found reasonably clean with no oil deposits, very little corrosion, excellent high quality; by all visual inspection the vehicle was well maintained. The mechanics of the vehicle are in good serviceable condition. During operational tests the engine started promptly and responded well to all performance tests during ride and drive. All fluids were at acceptable levels. All gauges and electrical features of the car work properly. I encourage anyone to give me a call if you need any additional questions answered. My name is Blaine Cravens and I do have the vehicle advertised locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.
