1995 Honda Accord EX Station WagonAS IS- Brake line under driver's seat is broken. Car is not currently safe to drive without brake work.251,880 miles. White Exterior. Taupe (Grayish-brown) Interior My father purchased this car new. He always took it to the dealership for regular servicing. He passed it on to us with more than 100,000 miles Body has some rust. Interior is in good shape as well (though still has some pet hair in it). Moon roof still works. Car has recently had center pipe replaced and a manifold replaced with a used part.It passed first two parts of CT state emissions tests but failed the fumes test. Since then we replaced the spark plugs and ran Guaranteed to Pass through vehicle.Intended to return for repeat emissions testing when brake line broke. Car runs really well except it occasionally downshifts one gear too low when going slowly around a turn. We thought this was a transmission issue, so I had the dealer flush the transmission and replace the fluid. BIG mistake... one day after this work, the transmission failed. So, we replaced the transmission (when the car had 243,898 miles on it) with a used transmission with ~160,000 miles on it. Surprisingly, the downshift issue persisted after the new transmission was installed. I have since learned the the downshift problem is not related to the transmission, but that the TPS (throttle position sensor) needs to be replaced. Very expensive lesson to learn too late! We purchased a replacement vehicle before this all happened and so do not need the car.It would be a good car for someone who can do the brake line work. This is car is high mileage and been around awhile. It will have other signs of age/wear not indicated here. Please ask any questions.
