1978 Triumph Bonneville

This is a very clean original New Mexico bike that is now titled in Indiana as i moved here and bought the bike with me. The bike was taken apart by me 10 plus years ago and the frame was powdercoated and the fuel tank etc were cleaned and repainted in the original colors. I also went thru most of the mechanical side of the bike at that time and rebuilt all brakes, wheel bearings, front shocks and also went thru the gearbox and clutch. Electronic ignition was also put on at that time but i may also have the original points in my spare parts I have owned the bike for probably 20 years which i bought from a friend who wanted a H-D and I rode it regularly in New Mexico. It has had very little use in the last few years and was started, run and ridden a few miles 3 or 4 times last year. I tried to start the bike last week but it did not start and possibly needs a new battery or coil but i am not sure of the exact reason without delving deeper. It also had some clutch drag last year and if you sat at a light in 1st gear for awhile the bike would start to creep forward. I am selling the bike as i no longer ride and it sems the less i ride the worse it is on the bike All the chrome is original and in great condition thanks to the dry climate in NM. I do have a second set of front exhausts which i have had re chromed but they are not on the bike right now. I have the manuals and also the tool kit that comes with the bike but i am not sure if it has all the tools that it originally came with.The seats are in good condition with no tears but the Triumph decal across the rear of the seat is faded The tires are new a couple of years ago but as i stated before it has had very little use in the last few years The bike is also listed locally and i reserve the right to sell it before the auction ends
