Vehicle Detail
Up for sale, a but good running 1987 BMW K75S with 70,568 miles. It's a bike thats been hanging around my shop for a bit. I picked it up here in town from the 2nd owner and thought I'd use it to take the wife out now and then. She's not partial to riding on the back of the old British stuff. Say's she can hear things falling off them. Anyhow it's time to pay the shop rent around here so something has to go. Kinda wish I had more time to spend with the bike as it is a lot fun to ride. Nothing like Beemer quality and engineering. Hate to fire sale a bike thats waiting on deck and so close to 100% but the month is coming to a close. This bike is used, but is still a nice looking impressive machine with lot of life left and should make someone a nice bike to ride and enjoy. Bike starts up quickly, she just lights right up. Motor sounds nice and smooth as it should. Service record books are dealer stamped up to 45,000 Bike was originally purchased new at Marty's Foreign Motors of Torrance, CA. Frame has lost it's shiny sheen. Looks kinda dull, even surface crusty in spots. Inside of fuel tank is spotless shiny clean. Sounds clunky when you pull the clutch lever in or out in first gear till she warms up. After that, seems to be a non-issue. Accelerates smoothly thru-out the range. No hiccups or stalling. Hi beam, turn signals, brake light, taillight all work fine. No signs of home electrical. It's not one of those "perfect" BMW's. She looks used with some scratches and seat wear. Looks like it may been repainted at one time. It's the K75 "S" model which means triple disc brakes. Rear brake has little to no pressure though. The reseviour looked empty. I'll go thru it and have it up as long as it's just a matter of filling and bleeding the system and/or cleaning the caliper. Bike is fun to ride and smooth just like everything I've read. Comes with a complete factory tool kit and owners handbook. Motorcycle is priced to sell! Looking for a BMW enthusiast and quick easy transaction. Please feel free to ask questions!..........
