Vehicle Detail
up for sale is my 1969 plymouth fury III. it is in great original condition. the engine is a 318. the trans is a 727. both are in great condition. the car has never been smoked in and has always been garaged and well cared for. it is a real head turner. i cant go anywhere without someone showing interest in it. everyone is always so blown away at the wonderfull original condition of the car. i spent $2400.00 on the 22" chrome kasino 'roulette' wheels/tires. i also spent $2600.00 on many new front end and suspension parts. i have the original steel color coded wheels w/ great condition tires (5 of them w/ spare) and great condition original hub caps. now, as can be expected with a 42 year old car, there are issues and minor damages to list. first of all, the front bumper is bent in slightly on the passenger side. the rear bumper has a small verticle scratch in it just above the liscense tag. there are a couple other small dings/scratches as seen in the pics. thats about it for the exterior. this car has never!! rusted anywhere and that is immediately apparent. the car was treated with 'Ziebart' (a brand of undercoating and rust preventative) when new. this can be seen in the many little green 'caps' found in the doors, door jams, and door sills throughout. it is also seen in the trunk and under the hood in the engine bay, as well as on the underneath of the car. the vinyl top is like new!! but is original. all glass is pristine. now the interior. the drivers seat bottom has ripped in the stitches of the seems. there was vinyl tape over these spots when i bought the car and i have installed a seat pad/cover over the area. there is a small piece of the chrome plating 'foil' material that has peeled off of a piece of plastic trim on the drivers door interior panel (i do still have the piece). the gas guage does not work. other than that the interior is immaculate. perfect dash. perfect headliner. all of it. i installed an after market c.d. player with remote under the dash. it looks nice and can be easily removed with no damage to the metal there at all (i used existing holes in the underdash and constructed custom brackets). i also created a speaker box (not shown in the pics) that fits nicely on the 'tranny hump' just in front of the radio. it houses a pair of 4x6's which fill the front of the interior with good sound. it is a c/d and drink holder console, so it is quite convenient. i also installed a pair of 6x9's in the back dash. so, the sterio system sounds great. i honestly do not know if the factory a.m. radio works or not, but i want to say that the man i bought the car from told me it did. the car got 20 m.p.g. consistently on the trip back from tennessee when i bought it. ofcourse, that was with the original wheels and tires on it. the mileage of 38339 is subject to change as the car is occasionally driven short distances. i do reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is also for sale locally. i have set the reserve price well under the buy it now, and i am very firm in this price. it is well worth every penny and the buyer will not be disappointed. anyone interested in grabbing this gem early without the headache and often heartache of the auction grind should go ahead for the buy it now. i will require a $1000.00 payment within 72 hrs. of auctions end, and the balance within 7 days. email me with questions and/or your phone # and i will get back to you.
