Vehicle Detail
Imported to the USA for only 1 year, the 1990 VTR250 differed from its 1988 and 1989 brethren with a larger open front disc brake, improved oil delivery, a cleaner color scheme and livery, and a larger front wheel. This sample is in excellent condition, with less than 6,800 miles and no major modifications. The intake, carburetion, exhaust, suspension, and driveline are original stock. The motorcycle has never been down, dropped, raced, or stunted. It has enjoyed a pampered existence. There are no dents nor rust in the tank. You can see the overall exceptional condition of the body panels, paint, and decals. For service, the oil has been changed every 1,000 miles, and a new air filter was installed at 4,500 miles. Recently, the forks seals were replaced with new Honda parts and 15W fork oil, and the regulator/rectifier was replaced with a more robust Honda component. The spark plugs and battery have been replaced and the valves recently adjusted. The tool kit is complete and the owner's manual and factory service manual are included. The motorcycle starts and idles without concern. I am the second owner, the title is clear, and the registration expires September 2nd, 2011. This prime example of a 1990 VTR250 is not for someone wanting to purchase an inexpensive learner's bike. While the VTR250 is a forgiving motorcycle and an excellent choice for women and male riders of lower inseam, the scarcity of the 1990 VTR250, and one of this splendid condition, encourages the purchase to be made by a collector. As such, there is a reserve for this auction. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup in the San Francisco Bay Area. $200 deposit due within 24 hours of auction closing through PayPal. The remainder of payment to be in cash upon vehicle pickup within one week of auction closing.
