Vehicle Detail
This is a 1987 Long Bed Toyota Pickup 4X4. It has been professionally converted from the stock 4 cylinder and has a 350 Chevy V-8 Motor. The motor only has 2,000 miles on it and has an RV Cam, Holly 750 designed for off road (stays running whatever level the truck is in). It has Mallory ignition, electric choke, one tap on the gas and it starts right up and purrs like a Chevy. It has a nice B&M Shifter, custom headers that fit, look and sound great. This pickup also has a Chevy 350 automatic transmission and electric fuel pump. Everything works Locking hubs, transfer case & gears and it purrs like you know a V-8 to do. People are amazed when they hear this Toyota pull near them and comment, “Does that have a V-8?” It has a straight body and a nicely built and mounted flatbed. The paint is a green bed liner type compound. Not regular paint. The heater, wipers, lights, blinkers, break lights and trailer connection all work. It has aftermarket gauge clusters that all work and also has a tachometer. The rear end and transfer case are stock Toyota. The transfer case is professionally mounted to the Chevy 350 transmission. The truck runs and handles great, you would never know or feel it had a larger motor than what it came stock with, and has no stability issues like some that haven’t been thought out when building. No mushy or heavy feeling in the front end when you drive it. If it weren’t for the sound of the motor and the V-8 power you wouldn’t be able to tell. As you can see in the picture it has a large chrome stabilizer bar on the front end also. The B&M shifter works and fits this arrangement like it was factory. The whole assembly fits and feels like it was factory made this way. I do have brand new front shocks still in the box. It doesn’t need them yet however. The seats are bucket and in good shape but have a cover on them anyway. The interior isn’t perfect but it’s not damaged either. If your 6 feet tall or more you may want to change the seats as it’s a snug fit for someone over 6 feet. I don’t recommend driving it on the freeway or interstate more than short distance as it has very low rear end gears. It will ride smoothly on the highway up to about 50 MPH. I suggest anything over that you can feel it taxing the ratio. The tires are about half life and the passenger rear is not the same as the other three. The spare is the one that matches. The pickup is in Woods Cross Utah. I suggest you trailer it if you are traveling significant miles. Unless you are ok going 65 in the slow lane. It is a climbing powerhouse but won’t go much faster that 55 MPH without taxing the ratio. I’m confident it would go as far as you would travel yet with the low gears you won’t be going very fast. This is an excellent truck. Please ask any questions as I think I have described everything you need however ask and I will post the reply for all to see. The truck has not been registered since December 2010, so please take this and your state into consideration when bidding.
