For Sale: 1993 Chevrolet Suburban 2500. 5.7L engine, automatic transmission, 4 wheel drive, tail gate and hatch, trailer hitch, custom GM wheels, the original steel wheels are included, bench seat, split middle seat, no rear seat. This truck features a 7.5 foot Meyer Snow Plow with E47 lift pump and power angle. This truck has been owned by one fire department and then the personal vehicle of a Fire Chief. We, the second owner, installed the plow to use around the station grounds. The engine, drive train, and plow are solid and it loves to push snow. It just keeps making power! The tires are in great shape with plenty of tread. All glass is in good condition. Autocheck reports a title problem however, I believe this is due to the former governmental use of the vehicle. I guarantee I have a clear Illinois title in hand. What I know to be issues with this truck: The drivers floor is not worn through but theres a great place to set your boot heel. Three of the door bottoms have the usual rust-through for these trucks. The area below the gas fill is rusted out. The left side rear bumper is bent. All these can be seen in the pictures. The seat cover is ripped. The air conditioning system cycles but does not cool. Last spring the rear brake line ruptured and has been repaired so the rear brakes need to be bled. Brake dash lights are on. I plowed this winter with just the front brakes without issue but one really needs to correct this. Also, recently a fuel leak has occured on top of the tank. I think one needs to drop the tank to fix this. A replacement vehicle has been purchased and honestly I'm to lazy to make these repairs. The emergency lighting does not come with the vehicle unless you can provide proof of using this vehicle in emergency services. The center radio console is not part of the auction. Two storage boxes come with the truck. I will clean all my junk out prior to pick up. This would be a good money maker for snow removal operations. It's a solid chassis and drive train. I know the buyer will need to spend a weekend dealing with the brakes and fuel leak so I've considered that in my asking price. As always, contact me with questions. Local pick up only.
