This car only has 117,568 miles on it. My Dad bought this car new in 1985 and was the sole owner until his death in September 2008. I acquired it then and have replaced the steering rack and pinion and the left drive axle. The head gasket blew a few months ago. I had it replaced along with the following additional actions: cylinder head reworked, block deck milled, timing belt replaced, water pump replaced, spark plugs replaced, along with miscellaneous gaskets and seals. Most recent refreshing was a rebuilt carburetor from Guaranteed Carburetors in Largo, FL. This ’85 recently passed the local mandated emissions testing. This car has spent its entire life in a garage and has absolutely no rust. The paint is original except for a fender bender repair on the left rear. Tires have about ¾ thread life remaining. Check out the pictures to get an idea of the cleanliness of the trunk and engine compartment. This car is sold AS IS and with the following known issues: The A/C has been converted to R-134A and it has a compressor leak. The automatic transmission doesn’t always hold the 1:1 torque converter lockup at cruising speed (what this means is that the RPM’s will intermittently increase by 200-250). The transmission shifts fine and has no slippage. I have my eye on a new Prius and it is time to let this project go. At 73 years of age I don’t enjoy fiddling with old cars as much as I once did. It is looking for a good home.
