This is a 1998 Cherokee LTD. I believe I am the second owner, and purchased the vehicle nine years ago with approximately 22,000 miles on it. The car is mechanically sound, and was recently inspected by our local mechanic. To my knowledge, other than a stop light rear ending (see dented bumper) it has never been in a collision. The suspension, etc has not been modified, and while many parts are new, they are all OEM. My original intent was for my daughter to take this Jeep to college, so anything mechanical that required repair was taken care of. As it turned out, my daughters' mother bought her a new car, so she opted to take that. Big surprise there! In any event, the only reason we kept this car around was for my daughter's use. Now that she's away at school it's time to part with the car. Cosmetically, the photos represent the car well. There are a number of minor dings, etc, but nothing major. The exterior and engine compartment were recently professionally detailed. Interior is clean, but shows signs of it's age. I'd rate it cosmetically average condition. Mechanically, above average. That said, the car has 167,000 miles on it. If you know these Jeeps, the 4.0L can easily run 200K+ with routine maintenance. This one was well maintained and mostly highway mileage. There are many, many new parts (most recently; battery, starter, radiator, water pump, thermostat, shocks, tune up). Full size spare (tire) has never been used and factory compact spare is also included. Again, I am unaware of ANY significant mechanical issue with this vehicle. That said, at 167,000 miles, anything can happen, and as such, we are selling it as is. I can be reached at 815-876-0520 if you have questions which were not answered here.
