What I have here for your consideration is a fairly nice 1979 Mercedes 300D, a complete WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil) fuel making system, storage and just over 500 gallons of WVO and WVO/diesel mix. First a little background. This car was my daily driver for the last 5 years, where almost all of the 200,000 that I put on it were miles that were powered using WVO that I got for free. The car runs well on either straight diesel or on the WVO blend. The car right now has on the summer tires that are in excellent shape and are Les Schwab’s best. The car comes with studded snow tires that are on their own rims and are also in very good shape. The very large battery is a Die-Hard and was just replaced only two years ago. The car uses a simple heat exchanger to heat the WVO/diesel mix (75/25). I have replaced the stock fuel tank with a 21 gallon poly tank that is easy to remove if the need were to arise. I have run the car this way for 200,000 miles so I know that this works. Nothing needs to be done to run this on straight diesel, just fill and go. Included in this auction is everything that is related to this car and the fuel system, both items that I now use, used to use or bought with the intention to use with this car and fuel system. These items include but are not limited to: 3 – 285 gallon fuel oil tanks, over 500 gallons of WVO and WVO/Diesel mix, 6 - parallel filters, 2 - 120 volt oil pumps, 1 – custom 120 volt oil heater, 1 - elevated 15 gallon storage tank, 1 – 8 inch diameter, 12 foot tall, 26 gallon separator, many misc Mercedes parts and so many other items that I cannot recall. If it is related to the Mercedes or WVO, it is yours if you win this auction. This would be a “turn-key” operation if only I would let you keep it here, I won’t! This will require much effort on your part (I will help) to get all of this stuff moved. I will not even remotely consider shipping all of this stuff and I will not sell it separately either. You can expect to drive the car home. You can expect to bring a friend with a truck and trailer to haul the fuel, the fuel making system and the three storage tanks. You can expect to save thousands of dollars on fuel with this car! I am starting the bidding at a very low price of $1,800 and have a “Buy it now price” of $2,800. I will sell this car to the first person that offers me the buy it now price. Remember, this auction includes over $1800 worth of fuel. If you do any amount of driving at all this car will pay for itself very quickly and actually make you money. Try to imagine what you will save on fuel if prices once again rise sharply as they did just a short time ago. If needed, I can store this set up (provided it’s paid for) for up to 1 month.
