For Sale is a M-B 450 SEL that I bought to teach my wife how to drive and at the same time have a rare classic Auto. These cars cost $35,000 new in 79. I was told that I'm the 3rd owner. The tires have been changed as they were dry rotted. The car is 32 years old and would need a lot of work, a total restoration to be like new. I bought it in Aug 1998 and put about 8,000 miles on it. It always starts but has a tap. Maybe a valve or lifter. New rear muffler. No radio Has an antenna. My wife never learned how to drive and the car was to big for her. Please ask any questions before you bid. The Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early no refunds. I do have the orignal manuals that came with the car and the metal ID plate. The paint maybe starting to fade but the body is straight and has never been hit needs new leather, has new front windshield and rubber and new rear windshield rubber. On a car this old I would say it will need other rubber parts. If you know how to repair Mercedes. This car will be a grate start for you. Last year I drove this car every day for seven months it never me down. Even with the small tap It still has no problum to do 80mhr. The brakes are fine. The car can still stop on a dime.
