Silky smooth, awesome power, thrill to be on highway. Adjustable windshield goes up to keep the noisy wind out off your face and make the ride a real pleasure. Gets 45 + MPG in city, more on highway. LOTS of storage in side and top boxes; keyed to match ignition. Starts very easily. Just took to local BMW dealer and had oil fluids changed (crank, tranny, and drive) and serviced. Dual batteries; installed new BMW gel battery in October, aux battery new 13 months ago. Was a highway patrol bike for the state of SC where it was maintained well. Lots of life on tires and brakes. Left mirror has a small crack, parts on order, should arrive this week. There are scratches and dings that a bike of this age would normally have. Hard to see unless close up. I would say the cosmetic condition is 8 out of 10 and the mechanical is about 9 out of 10. Left blinker goes fast some times, as opposed to right blinker which is slower, but bulbs front and back are in great condition. Heated grips use to work great until I was in a hurry and in the rain and strapped the bike on the trailer and instead of putting straps on the metal handle bars, put them on the grips. Seat has several adjustments and is so comfortable. A real joy to sit and enjoy her purring down the highway. Have the chrome "roll bars" that have places to put the siren, speaker, and strobes or foot pegs for long trips. Took them off cause did not like the look or feel, and do not believe they would be helpful in a wreck. Your call, I have them and screws if you wish to reinstall. This bike has a larger alternator than the normal non-law enforcement stock bike. I have had the bike for three years and have never laid it down. Installed a wider and taller windshield and have the stock windshield, too. Stock windshield is hazy. I have run it on non-ethanol high-test. When I go on long trips, if could not find non-ethanol, then I had not choice but to put ethanol in it, BUT it was just enough to get home, then filled up with non-ethanol. It says in my warehouse. This is a bike you will enjoy for many many years to come. This is a nice used bike that has been loved and cared. BMW boxer engines go for thousands of miles and are easy and simple to rebuild, if you have experience. She does not burn oil and stays in a perfect temperature range, never has run hot. Flushed fluid last May. The cowling (fender skirts) keep ya dry in rain and warm in winter. Wind does not beat ya up with this bike's design.
