1970 FORD MUSTANG MACH I I am selling my 1970 Mach 1. I have owned this car since 1985. From 1985-89 I have had rebuilt the FMX trans in 5/86, complete with B&M shift kit. The entire front end 7/86, (tie, rods, bushings, etc.) and the original (NUMBERS MATCHING) 351 Windsor with 2 barrel carb 6/86. The odometer shows approx. 54,558 miles. The motor has approx. 6,812 miles since rebuilt at 47746 miles in 1986. I have and will give the buyer all receipts dating back to 1985. After the paint was complete the car was shown from 1989-94, taking many trophies. The car is equipped with drum brakes all around and no factory air. The after market sport slats can easily be removed . The mufflers are turbo flow because I like the old school sound in lieu of flowmasters . Since 94 the car has been garage kept and driven only a few miles each year. Fall of 2008 I redid motor compartment as pictures dictate and have the stock parts to replace the non-stock. (chrome braces and valve covers). The carpet is new and the interior is in good shape and all original except for seat belts and only needs seat covers and a headliner to be perfect. Both have only one problem spot in them .(see pictures) In addition the door panels are showable but really should be done as well for car to be perect. (see pictures)The rim-blow steering wheel does not work which is typical for them at this age but you can send core and buy a rebuilt with no cracks and horn will work. The dash clock has not worked since I have owned the car but all other dash functions work fine. I have a custom fitted cover (California Car Cover Co.) and also a Marti report that go with sale of car. Because I was planning to keep this car in the family forever the vent windows have my children’s names etched on them(1 on each) but can be etched over or replaced.(pictures included). If need to replace and interested I deal with Mustangs Unlimited in Conn. for parts. This is a very clean rust free car that has been garage kept. A Numbers matching 1979 MAch 1!!! You may never see a car of this condition again. Selling because the Economy sucks!
