Vehicle Detail
The 1999 F355 was ”the first and last” of an era featuring the legendary and classic Ferrari body style. Heads never fail to turn when this magnificent car rolls down the road, commanding attention from its classic beauty as well as from the subdued wail of it’s double-overhead-cam V-8 engine in combination with the upgraded Tubi exhaust (stock exhaust is also included). · Stunning Ferrari Red with 6-speed manual transmission · A mere 14,210 miles on the odometer · Tan leather interior · Battery tender already wired-in · Factory-installed CD Player · Plus virtually all of the normal factory options About the Car. · The present owner is the 2nd owner of the vehicle, having purchased the car in July of 2001 with 8,429 miles on it. · The vehicle was purchased from the New Auto Toy Store, 2980 Lebanon Church Road, West Mifflin, PA 15122. · There are no Ferrari dealerships in the western Pennsylvania area. Throughout the last nine years of ownership, all routine service items have been handled by an independent garage specializing in “high line” vehicles such as Porsche, Audi, BMW and Ferrari. · The front spoiler has been repainted and it has one chip in it. This is a common damage-point from road debris kicked up from traffic and scrapes from speed bumps due to low ground clearance. · No other parts of the car have been repainted and the finish is excellent. · The clutch is in good order with no evidence of slippage. It is the original clutch and has never been abused so there has not been any reason to service it. · The timing belt is still original but shows no evidence of deterioration… has been checked every two years. · The brakes are in excellent condition with remarkably good finish on all rotors and at least 50% of pad life remaining. There are no signs of leakage at any of the calipers and the brakes operate smoothly with no evidence of warpage or other rotor faults. · As is common with 355’s, there is some stickiness on the black console surface, apparently as a result of Ferrari having some rubber in their plastic compound. The steering column shroud had the same issue and has been carefully refinished with flat black paint · All electrically-controlled items have been verified as being in good working order: ü Headlights ü Power seats ü Power top goes up and down without any problems ü Suspension switch ü Air conditioning ü Heater/Defroster ü CD Player · The car has always been stored in a climate-controlled garage. Video. A short video has been made in answer to a number of individuals who expressed an interest in hearing the engine start and run. The video attempts to highlight the car being started in the cold (approximately 45 degrees F), idling, restarting with partially-warmed engine, restarting after idling for 3.5 minutes and running of fully-warmed engine. There is some background noise due to wind and, for persons not familiar with cold weather conditions, there is a lot of water vapor condensation coming from the exhausts… it is not smoke.
