In an effort to free up some space, I am selling my '91 164L AS IS... It basically was my winter driver and backup vehicle for the last couple years but since I have recently bought another 164Q and acquired a Dodge Stratus, I really don't have the space for all 4 cars and something needs to go ASAP! Ideally, this is a great parts car for someone who has already has 12v 164 and wants to purchase this car for all the backup parts it has to offer OR someone who actually has the time to disassemble and part this car out. While restoring car may not be impossible, I would NOT advise anyone to buy this car for the purpose of returning it to its former glory. It is basically a parts car that may be returned to a drivable state and has a wealth of 164 parts to offer that are becoming harder and harder to find. Here's the basic run down: The car runs strong, but recently the brake lines corroded and need to be replaced. A year or so ago the muffler came off and when I noticed I got better gas mileage without it, I simply left it off. I recently replaced the blower motor and 2 of the 4 shocks. Additionally, the tires were replaced a couple thousand miles ago and are under warranty from NTB. The spare tire is currently on the vehicle (as shown in the photos) because I was using the OEM wheel for a full size spare on another 164. You will receive all four original 15" OEM wheels with your purchase. I have not moved the car in months and when I checked the milage, I noticed the battery has drained but will be recharged prior to the buyer's pick up.The clearcoat is peeling in some places and there is some rust. The rear light bar broke off, but will be included if the buyer wishes. Additionally, I have an extra set of OEM S/Q 15" rims and some other miscellaneous parts that may be included in the sale for an ADDITIONAL COST if the buyer is interested. Rather than invest more time and money to keep this as secondary vehicle, I have decided to focus my attention on my newest Q, and use the dodge as my winter driver. The car is located in Lombard, IL and not far from Besic Motor Sports who could replace the brake lines if someone was interested in purchasing the car and driving off with it (it will be the buyer's responsibility to arrange to get the car there and pay for the repairs if they wish to take this route), otherwise it should be towed given the condition of the brake lines... I do know a couple drivers (one local and one who goes frequently from Chicagoland area to the west coast) who might be able to offer a bargain to the buyer. However, it is the buyer's responsibility to arrange and pay for the vehicle's shipment.
