Vehicle Detail
1984 HONDA VF1100C MAGANA V65 VF 1100 low miles Hello, here is a Honda Magna vf1100 my dad bought brand new in 83 when I was born. The bike was on the road for 2 years putting 1300 miles on it and then he parked it In our basement where it sat for 20+ years until a divorce and then I pulled it out of the basement. Sitting in the basement for 20 years caused all of the aluminum on it to oxidize/corrode and my dad had left gas in the tank. He did remove the battery though and when I pulled it out I did my research on the bike to make it better than new. I started with replacing the following- NEW OEM UPPER FUEL TANK- 450.00 NEW OEM LOWER FUEL TANK- 250.00 NEW OEM FUEL PUMP AND RELAY NEW OEM GAS CAP W/ KEY-70.00 NEW OEM FUEL SENSOR NEW OEM FUEL SHUT OFF VALVE NEW TIRES CORBIN SEAT-250.00 DRP? OIL MOD KIT-180.00 DRAG LITE SPECALTIES TURN SIGNALS-90.00 CARBURATOR REBUILD AT SHOP-350.00 K&N AIR FILTER NEW OEM SLAVE CYLINDER TITANIUM FORK BRACE- 55.00 MANUAL FAN SWITCH-35.00 After I had replaced these parts I rode the bike for 1 summer and decided its not my style so I bought an R6. Now since then I rode it occasionally and the front forks leaked so I replaced the seals and they leaked again and got fluid on the front brake pads. The engine would always sputter a little when it was cold, my dad says it needs a valve adjustment and the book says it needs one at the mileage it has too but once it gets warm it runs/idles fine. This bike has been in my garage now for 4 years and I have not run it/started it/ looked at it. I enlisted in the army and after spending time in KY, KS, IRAQ im home in NJ and I have no want or desire to ride it. Before I left I removed the battery, added fuel stabilizer to the gas, drained the carburetors and removed the spark plugs and gave a squirt of oil in the cylinders and replaced the spark plugs. Today I pushed it out of the garage, replaced the battery and turned the fuel on after a couple cranks it fired up runs smooth, I have a video not sure how to post it to ebay but I will try or email me and ill send it to you.. I pulled the front brakes and they seemed stiff on the release here are the things I know it needs—front fork seals, front brakes?, valve adjustment, The aluminum rims/lower front forks/air box covers and other aluminum pieces need to be polished or painted to look good I am sure im forgetting some of the other things that were replaced, THIS IS A PICK UP ONLY!! Feel free to come see it, before people ask the DRP oil mod kit is because I read these things don’t get enough oil to the top end for the cams, the switch by the gas tank is for a manual turn om for the engine fan in addition to the factory thermostatic switch (for traffic), the corbin seat is because its nice! The tanks were replaced because they were rusted on the inside this bike has never been crashed or even fallen over it was my dads only difference in the name was SR instead of JR he bought it brand new in 83 the year I was born and parked it 85 and I pulled it out of the basement in 06, I wish I had held onto the original title but when I registered it in my name the DMV took it and I wasn’t thinking but he picture of the title shows the mileage when I put it back on the road in 2006 --1,699 in 2006 it now has 3,097 miles. I included pictures of the original gas tanks and seat so you don’t think it was crashed. The aluminum/chrome is NOT show quality, and is the only flaw. Because of the new gas cap its different from the other key holes so it has 2 keys, I know there is a green lock cable that goes with it just can’t find it right now. oh there is picture if the clutch master cylinder looks like it leaked? is leaking? not sure it does work thogh and runs smoth, just trying to be as honest as i can, come see it- if you bring enough cash i will consider ending early You tube videos of it running-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU6YsPivnRg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_mKHntCmoI Bill---732-744-6001 / 732-821-1855 PICK UP ONLY, NORTH BRUNSWICK NJ 08902. there is a picture of me pointing to the gas tank, that is where the corbin seat sits on the gas tank and made wear marks.. you cant see them when the seat is on -thanks On Feb-16-11 at 15:59:32 PST, seller added the following information: I found the original owners manual and the "SET UP AND PRE DELIVERY CHECK LIST" from honda, looks like it came from Coopers Cycle Ranch NJ, titlled to my dad
