'56 Chevy wagon that's licensed and inspected in Texas, I was told when I bought it that the engine was a '57 283 power pack with the original '56 powerglide transmission. Starts and runs good. Speedometer works but the odometer doesn't move. Drives ok, steering is a little loose, but the gentleman I bought it from drove it here, about 50 miles and I drove it into town and back (about 20 miles) for the inspection sticker. I haven't had it out much. Getting too old and the weather has been disagreeable. I did replace the vacuum wiper motor with a new electric motor and the ignition switch. This is not a show vehicle, chips in the paint, bumpers need rechromed, the big side windows each have a "bull's eye, and the interior is not show quality. Has a spare tire but no jack.
