Vehicle Detail
This is beautifully maintained 1922 Model T Center Door sedan. The car was rebuilt by the late Ralph Zajicek of Dallas, Texas, a former Rozenthall winner from the Model T Ford Club of America. Ralph Zajicek invented and produced many accessory parts for the Model T enthusiast. Many of these parts are still being sold today. He is most known for the high compression aluminum Z head. This car represents much of his ingenuity and dedication to the hobby of restoring Henry's fabulous Model T. The following is a list of the additional items on this car. Aluminum high compression head, period Halladay front and rear shock absorbers ( sring type) additional hydraulic shocks on the rear wheels, period steering wheel stabilizer mounted on the front axil, hide away tool boxes mounted on both sides of the car under the running boards. 2 tool boxes mounted on the top of the running board. Chrome bumpers front and rear, Spare tire mount, 21 inch wire wheels with spare, Disc brakes on rear wheels. 12 Volt electrical system with trun signals placed in the karosene lamps, turn signal lights all the way around, electric starter, belt driven alternator, modern VW style distributor, under the hood trouble light, engine compartment mounted oil can, early warning low oil light, outside oil line, Kohler carburetor, fuel pump, Auxilary gas tank under the rear seat 10 galon capacity, Auxilary Foot pedal throttle in addition to the steering column mounted throttle, period time clock, tachometer and explosion whistle Original speedometer plus a bicycle speedometer, CB radio, Vaccum controlled windshield wipers, accessory sun visor, Locking steering wheel, Wood steering wheel. jeweled dash light, dome light, bud vases, rear window pull curtain, very rare locking bail type door handles with key ( yes, they do work) pedal extensions for the brake and clutch pedals, This car has two transmissions, one is the original Model T transmission and the other mounted behind it is a Model A transmission giving the car six speeds forward and two reverse. The exhaust pipe is custom made with a chrome extension. The frame has been reinforced to accomodate the installation of the additional transmissoiin. Ralph Zajicek was an expert machinist and did all of the work on this car, I have personally driven this car 50 miles per hour with three passengers. Ralph was known for driving his Model T's to club tours and not putting them on a trailer. Consepuently he made his cars very road worthy. The Model T Ford Center door was made from 1915 to 1923 and this car represents perhaps the best you will find. The car starts and runs well with very low miles on the current rebuilt engine.
